Early Access Review
A fun game, if incomplete (obviously).

I tried the demo and found it fun, so I bought the full game. While some things need to be tuned (Omigod I'm watching my character mill grain for hours) the game has so far been fun and satisfying. And I still haven't explored everything

Mods for the game are also nice, and show potential for customizing the game as you desire (I'm a sucker for adding dragons/dragon kin to any fantasy game that doesn't have them). So I will be looking forward to what is added in the future

Stalker 2 is a game I really want to enjoy, but I just can't. First is the inventory weight, I hear they've patched prices, but it really felt like you needed to pick up everything you can to sell to slowly, painfully get some upgrades that you know you'll probably swap out once you get out of the starting zone.
Humans all die to a headshot, while still being fun since they can shred you back, making that headshot feel rewarding. The wild animals/mutants? Every single one is a bullet sponge, but worse, the vampires are just a miserable experience, a stealthed enemy that runs in a circle then charges you, doing the same attack every time, it's a binary "you backed up and avoided it, while shooting" or "It hits you for massive damage", there's no strategy, no fun to be had, it's just... it dies, you get nothing for it, you almost wish you just reloaded to a point where you weren't searching the area.
Loot is unimpressive as well. Everyone but you is using a broken gun apparently, so you shouldn't loot their weapons, I've found a single upgrade for my jacket, and two helmets that just don't feel that important. It's just... A slightly better balanced version of this game I'd love I think, but everything's tuned to be just slightly unfun

A fun game with at least one truly garbage dlc, I'm mentioning that here in hopes that you don't just buy them all and fall for the same trap as me, read all the reviews

If you're lucky and read this before you buy all the dlcs Beware!
This one just sucks so hard. It's not a simple story, you just deal with being Theresa for ages, wondering "When can I go back to Henry and actually *doing* something rather than being stuck in the past?" you slowly grind through, realizing too late that you've saved in this game mode and would lose so much progress in the main game that you might as well finish it, but there's no reward, no satisfaction, to be gained by success.

I think this ranks up there with one of the worst DLCs I've ever seen

I'd heard good things, but the game feels shallow. Wandering from world to world, all of which as basic as the last.
The ship is more or less just a house with a moving background, other characters are all incredibly generic, and all in all I haven't figured out anything I'd want to do.

I can see how this game could be fun to some people, but It's definitely not for me

Early Access Review
While there is some frustration in the... I'm not sure rng is the right word, but the unpredictablity of the bounces, and the board refresh showing up in the exact wrong location, or getting that one specific mini boss when you have a "Target any enemy" build that happens to just not work on them... It's otherwise a fun game. Those moments just feel like they add up, each "I tried to go right, but an errant bounce sent the ball to the left" and so on
So overall I recommend, but if you're not a fan of annoyances outside of your control I'd recommend another game

Update, I came back to this review months later to bring up the unfun of the rng again. It doesn't really add anything, while being frustrating when it goes wrong.

I'd still recommend the game since it's fun. The yes/no rating system is flawed in this way. It's a 3/5, 4/5 if you don't run into these issues though.

Also, wish there was an endless mode

An important note (I think), this is a review based on solo play.

I don't know if it gets better, but in the 4 hours I played it felt more like a basic diablo game, with some minor base building mechanics, and a thin coat of vampire paint. The "feel" of a vampire wasn't quite there, you can drink blood, the sun makes half the day a pain, but that's about it.
You go from location to location, fighting generic humans, I'm unclear who they are, Vampire Hunters? Bandits? Just random humans? Once you beat a boss, either using the limited magic system, or hit the bosses, use your dodge (On an extremely high cooldown) and repeat until it falls.
Once you beat them you learn some new magic (Of which only two spells can be used at a time), you learn some new tech to then add to your base, and repeat.
It's just not a very satisfying grind to me

As said before, I chose to play solo, I wasn't interested in joining an already established world, and I don't have plans to convince a bunch of friends to play so we can play together. I'm not quite sure how that'd work in the first place, the map seems a bit cramped for proper and unconstrained pvp, more you'd need dedicated roleplay involved (Or so I feel). I could be wrong, the pvp maps could be designed wildly different, but again, I don't want to join a world where the starting point is glutted with high level bases, with fully geared gankers etc, and I don't want to try starting a new world, forced to dedicate time to this game to keep up with the *hope* that it gets good eventually.

Fantastic game. The second to last boss was poorly designed, and the other two last bosses might not have been tested enough, but beyond that, the story was fun, the characters were fun. and the gameplay was quite enjoyable.

I'd highly recommend this game

Early Access Review
This is an early access game so my review may change with time.
Currently the balance just isn't there. The middle (And what I presume to be the balanced/expect) mode has an ai that relatively swiftly takes over the map. I don't know what min maxing I'd need to do to dispute their claims, but if I have to min max that much then this might not be a game for anyone who isn't extremely dedicated.
(The next easier mode has 0 enemies if I'm reading it right, so you don't even get the combat aspect of the game, not a viable option imo)
