This game is quite possibly the best thing to exist ever.

Life is Strange is a game where you embark on a journey to find out what's happening in Arcadia Bay! You play quirky white girl Max Caulfield (she's quirky) who recently gains the ability to time travel at most a solid 5 seconds into the past. Wow! Your friend Chloe Price is an edgy rebellious teenager (you can tell because she has blue hair, smokes weed, and says '♥♥♥♥' every five seconds! CRAY-ZEE!) Time travel is woven pretty well into gameplay. You'll use it for puzzles, undoing choices, or for the most prominent part, rewinding out of a conversation so you can pretend like you didn't just hear the words 'Hella', 'cool beans', or 'amazeballs' used unironically all in one sentence. The voice acting and lip sync are top notch. When people say the game has terrible lip sync, they are WRONG. It was definitely an artistic decision to have all conversations look like the scenes in the Black Lodge from Twin Peaks. The characters are SUPERB and aren't stereotypes or one dimensional at all. Especially Warren, whose literal purpose is to spout a pop culture reference every line of dialogue. Every time, he made a pop culture reference, I laughed because I knew what it was from. The soundtrack is really good, you can tell because every time a song comes on its a super ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ coffee indie song and plays during a really cinematic cutscene where Max is walking or sleeping in bed and you have to skip it so you don't have to listen to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ literally just Modest Mouse anymore.
