Constant crashes during ranked matches

Edit: I ain't mad no more. I think the crashes were due to the shader cache bug.

Only after trying a few other games did I appreciate how well designed Deathloop is. It manages to strike a perfect balance between exploration and guided gameplay, without ever getting overwhelming or stale. Skills and guns are a real treat to mess around with, and open the door for new strategies. The characters express themselves in small doses, without assaulting you with bricks of dialogue or long cutscenes.

The progression system, however, is not that well paced in the single player or the multiplayer. You tackle the beginning of the game trying to hold on to any upgrades you find, but eventually you find that perfect set of broken weapons and even the golden unlockable guns are not interesting anymore. Still, the loot system gives you a real desire to stay alive, without being too punishing, similar to a fight in a battle royale after spending 5 minutes collecting loot. Multiplayer randomly awards upgrades through every "match" played, but ultimately it relies on a player base that is no longer there.

I've also had some problems with graphical settings. If you are too, I highly recommend you follow the digital foundry recommended settings except replace FSR with DLSS (I believe that video was made before DLSS was added to the game).

A mildly enjoyable game coded by interns who take turns breaking various features. The game is set on wasting your time, making you slowly walk your way in circles around the same areas to earn materials which you can gamble away on making your gear better. The game can be fun in groups, but is overall lacking in content.

Fix mouse sensitivity. The lowest setting is not low enough.

Edit: Literally cannot cross a bridge in the game without it crashing immediately. I kind of expected the game to be playable by now. Pretty disappointed. Been messing with settings I'll see what happens. Otherwise the game is awesome. Feels like they serve up dookie on PC to get players to play on console or something.

Games that force you to do something before you can change your settings are annoying. Games that do this AND CRASH OFTEN? Should be removed from the steam store until they are fixed. I changed my settings and it crashed, now it's forcing me to watch the opening cutscene again.

There's reddit posts complaining about the same issue 3 damn years ago on a ps4. These developers don't care.
