GOOD LORD for such a beloved title this game is broken. Makes vanilla Skyrim look like the most polished thing ever.

Good game. Free. Can run on a potato. Why reason is there NOT to have it?

Every enemy being a damage sponge that can delete you from orbit is good game design and totally not designed to turn you into an addict.

10/10 would sell my mental well-being for copy-pasted loot again.

I hop on my computer to play TF2 and notice there's an update for Arena queued. I decide to hop onto Arena and do my Daily Missions RQ. One of the missions I have is "Kill 25 creatures" so I pick my Mono Black Control deck that's where over 60% of my spells are kill spells that I made specifically for that mission. After a two or three games it started matching me up against Control almost exclusively. The mission ended up taking over 30 minutes when I had an entire deck built to get it over with quickly because none of my opponents had any creatures to kill.

tl;dr Avoid Arena like the plague because it is actively trying to waste your time.

Here's what the new player experience in CS is like.

You spawn in, you buy all your weapons, most of which have so much recoil that they're basically unusable if you don't know what you're doing, you sit around for about 45 seconds, you go look for people to shoot, you get killed by an enemy you barely had time to realize even existed because your character dies if a slight breeze blows on them, you wait a minute or two for the round to end, rinse and repeat 8-15 times, then the game makes fun of you for being bad at it.

Maybe if you're an FPS junkie you might get something out of it, though if you are you probably already have the game, but the impossibly steep learning curve makes it difficult for me to recommend if you're anything less.

Amazing characters. Phenomenal Soundtrack. A tightly-crafted mystery to rival the best of Sherlock Holmes. However, the dungeon design leaves a lot to be desired and if you're the sort of player who likes to find the optimal way to play video games, you'll probably find this one too easy. 8.5/10.
