Built a pet sanctuary, committed nuclear terrorism and formed the torment nexus. What's not to love?

I first bought this when it came out, played it a little bit in the skirmish mode to get a feel for the close-in gameplay (which is very interesting and cool!) then shelved it for when the promised single-player mode came out because while fighting tactical battles was fun, I wasn't exactly very good at it, or willing to spend weeks or months gathering mastery.

Now the developer has shelved said single-player mode 'indefinitely' because... It won't hold enough players time, according to the dev? Because the fights won't be perfectly balanced if you can build fleets of whatever size you like? Because the first release might have bugs that could brick peoples Conquest savefiles???

Absolutely insane decision by the developer. Essentially throwing away months to years(?) of progress on a game-mode due to being a perfectionist. Total War wouldn't be fun if all you could do is skirmish battles, and neither is Nebulous (outside of a small cadre of sweats and tryhards).

Unless this decision is reversed I guess I'll still just not be playing this game for the forseeable future.

Edit: In a shockingly good move the developer released the unfinished build of conquest. The post that news was announced in had a really bad, whiney, upset tone to it, but not everybody has had PR training, so whatever.

Currently my review stays negative however due to any sort of worthwhile (in the eyes of the developer) singleplayer content being far, far away in the future. Still, good move but I wouldn't recommend this game based on what is currently offered.

Are you doing your part? Sign up for the Helldivers today! Remember, service guarantees (Class C) citizenship!

Game is great, murder swarms of bugs or armies of robots. Probably also hordes of magic aliens later too once they add them. Much better with friends, bring your buddies!

Game is great sofar! So highly physical and meaty in all the right ways. My favourite has gotta be the grabber claw to pick the enemies up and just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ toss them. Or using it to hold them in place for a proper smashing.

Highly recommended, I'll be playing this again and again, even if its just to exercise in a fun way. Gosh.

"Look at you, hacker: a pathetic creature of meat and bone, panting and sweating as you run through my corridors. How can you challenge a perfect, immortal machine?"

The game is good. It has its hard points due to being a faithful recreation of the source material.. But honestly what else would you want for a remake?

Its Dwarf Fortress, you honestly don't need more than that. Nearly 20 years of updates piled upon one another until we have this gloriously interconnected mess of deep **DEEP** systems.

If you like Rimworld, come meet its father, its Z-Levels and short, sturdy folk fond of drink and industry. Its worth supporting something so grand and so incredibly accessible! Now more than ever.

Improving in almost every way from the first (aside from maybe the music, but thats sure to improve) Risk of Rain 2 is a great new take on the original. I for one, cannot wait for more characters and items to be added. Also Command/Glass when???

First and foremost. PAID MODS. They're back. Wanna pay a dollar for a black paint job on your power armor? DO IT! Wanna pay 4 dollars for a reupload of a fanmade mod? DO IT!

Apart from that, watered down story, uninspired combat, more than half the DLC focused entire on the superfluous and honestly terrible base building stuff.

Don't give Bethesda more money. Stay away. Teach these idiots a lesson.
