God I fear the last area. I fear the other zones too, but once I got over that fear, a new one appears.

I don't know how this game is so good, but it is. I played a lot on mobile too and it plays just as well on either.

I made my Mage Posse, fully of Mage Posse if you get my meaning. Anyways AOE ftw. I hate the Dragon Age aspect of Dragon Age Origins. Really. I haven't even got one of those amazing synergy builds (I wish), but I did alright for myself after finding out.

Great replayability to try out different builds.

If you're not doing so well, try looking up a couple of builds and adapt it to how you want to play and you'll have a better time.

The core of the game is wonderful - beautiful - mechanically amazing. A joy to play.

It's a shame the developers or publisher dropped the ball later down the line, but the core elements are still there and are amazing. Mods on the top of that just bring the game further up!

Played it way, back - it was a good casual game.

I'd play more if I hadn't downloaded it to my HDD. The Long Dark becomes the Long LONG Dark.
This is the closest I'll get to a walking simulator, since it's not, but the story plays out through the landscape.

The dark is real dark, and the survival is real survival.

For reference, I played the open survival side of it, rather than the story.
I'm not sure if I'm going to play the story.

For anyone wondering. Survival Mode is just the open survival.
The other includes Survival Mode, but also Story. That's all the difference.

I keep failing at this. But it's got a good gameplay loop. I expect this is what Bomber Crews experienced - the plane limping back with half the crew dead and needing to replace them. It is actual hell flying over to France... I didn't know I would feel like that from what this seemingly little game.

Great Setting, Great Customisability!

First time I died because the map is big and I wanted to get from A to B quicker. I don't know why I thought driving off a cliff was a good idea... Don't be me, don't do that. That is one way to lose your loyal, experienced peeps. They don't deserve it. Be better.

My only gripes are a bit lack luster in the driving and the combat. I wish I had closer control over the driving, but I get that I'm not really driving, more commanding. The other thing is, although the artstyle and combat fit, I'm left wanting more of the raw mad max tactile feel to combat, it's a bit arcady, but that's what they're going for and it works great for what they're trying - just a personal preference.

PvE for the win. Another great one with friends or strangers. The gun play is very good. Just stay alive.
Fun with newbs like me, which are a plenty. Sometimes spoiled by veterans of the game who expect it to be done like a mission.

Went back to replay it. Still good.
Simple Fun. But that's it.
