I'll keep it brief since most of my reviews spiral and I don't want to spoil anything about this;

The gameplay is typical Mother/Earthbound style active turn based structure, and the combat all uses Rock/Paper/Scissors formulas, this is the weakest point but it's also very charming as a vehicle to show some of the developments mentally that come from the story progression.

The main cast are all fantastic, very alive and real feeling characters that feel like a very charming take on the "Chosen one gathers their party to save the world" group, with bonding across most all characters in the game that generally never misses the mark on building relationships with the main character: Siffrin.

Narrative has a lot of peaks, with the only low I could think of was that some meaningless interactions are teased to be something bigger but then are never mentioned again, this does not happen often and is easily forgotten when the pace starts to pick up the oftentimes that it does.

Soundtrack is very charming, the combat music will help drive you mad after some point which is theme accurate, but every important moment has a very distinct sounding track that brought me back into the game's immersion without fail.

All in all it's worth the up front price and then some, an easy 9/10 story-heavy game that plays on the idea of what all comes from the trauma of looping through time while being a very real character with positive and negative traits to show what it all does to the mind and emotions.
