Unfortunately, there's very little content so far, which makes the game not really worth playing in my opinion. The gameplay becomes repetitive very quickly. Even though I've only played for two days, it's already clear that there's not much more to expect, as the remaining achievements are just the same ones repeated 10 or 50 times.

Nice small game for getting 100%. Enjoyed every second of it. The playtime of about 3 hours is pretty fair for the price.

I had high hopes for Metro Awakening, but wow, what a letdown. The graphics are straight-up ugly for a game released in late 2024. Blurry textures, lifeless environments, just bad. The gunplay? Feels awful when you’ve played games like Arizona Sunshine or Half-Life: Alyx before. 95% of the stuff lying around is not interactable, which makes the game not enjoyable to walk through. Most of the time, the game is just a walk-and-crouch simulator with a very linear design.

And the performance? Absolutely terrible. Random stutters, low frame rates, and crashes make it borderline unplayable, even with hardware way above the recommended requirements. When you’re halfway through the level and the low frame rates kick in, you just push through to the next checkpoint so you don’t have to start the level again. This could’ve been an amazing Metro VR experience, but instead, it’s just a mess. Avoid it.

Wer das Spiel freiwillig spielt, sollte sein Leben überdenken.

An sich gutes Spiel, aber in lvl 2 der Kampagne direkt einen Patienten gehabt, alle Krankheiten herausgefunden und dann einfach weiter geupgraded und dann war der Patient auch schon auf 100% überall. In dem Level soll der Patient wohl sterben, weshalb sich mein Spiel gesoftlocked hat und ich somit 30 Minuten umsonst gespielt habe. Der Bug scheint wohl schon seit Jahren im Spiel zu sein. Heißt wohl, dass die Entwickler das Spiel aufgegeben haben.

Sadly the update was reverted. Liked it a lot. It felt fresh like a new season in e.g. Diablo and it was more difficult. I think people complained because they couldn't just brainafk run in a circle and win. Still a good game though.
There are some things I wish would make the next update e.g. multiple lords spawning at once and not one after another (that makes it way faster to clear).

EDIT: I'm glad they sticked to most of their changes and they gave us a way to fight multiple bosses by applying curses. Great devs.

Worth every penny.
