Move along cyberpunk, this bad boy has ray tracing too!

All the other reviews are complaining about having to re-buy the tables, which I understand, but the upgrades to the engine make it justifiable to me. I also didn't have that many tables in FX3, so I'm left more or less fine. The $500 for all the tables is quite a bit, but realistically, when the only other options to play pinball is either getting a table for $7k or going to a public place and wasting $20/hr, paying $10 for 3 tables that you can then play forever is not bad.

Moving on past the costs, this game is sick. The ray tracing actually brings out all the lights and make the shadows insane looking. I noticed it straight off the bat and think this is the best use case scenario for ray tracing since it's not resource intensive in any other way other than the lights on the table.

It does have some weird input lag issues at times, but you either have them when you launch the game or don't, so I'm not sure what's going on with that. I also get strange flickering issues, but that seems like it could be related to Nvidia's batch of terrible drivers lately. The resolution options are also a bit... odd. But that more than likely has to do with the compatibility with the virtual pinball cabinets, so it sort of makes sense.

But overall, if you enjoy pinball, this is the best simulation that I've seen yet. And it's kinda hard imagining where else they could even improve if they ever make another one.

No ultrawide support without extremely clunky mods. Game also broke my HDR to the point I had to request a refund, everything got over saturated with no way of fixing it (game options nor windows options would do anything).

It's a shame because I really liked AC4 back in the day and wanted to return to the series, but this feels like a console port that wasn't really meant for modern hardware.

Sometimes it breaks and then it's a headache to get it working again, but overall an awesome little program to spice up your wallpaper. Wish it was possible to edit the wallpapers a bit more, but that's a bit of a nitpick.

Early Access Review
This game is sick. Only issue I have is that it will crash on me every once in a while. Other than that, this is probably the best arpg I've ever played.

I'm a big fan of the graphical changes. Everything looks stupendously good. Additions of DLSS and FSR instead of the terrible dynamic rendering are a nice welcome, and they work straight out of the box so that's nice.

I'm also a really big fan of the changes to the animation systems, the character models looks incredible and feel like they actually have limbs now. Speaking of limbs, the WASD movement system actually feels really nice and a bit surprising to me just how good and seamless it all works.

It's like they took all the good parts of previous arpgs, and all the other top down games, polished everything to a mirror shine, laid out the roses, then spanked you on the ass and told you to get ready for tonight.

Unlike the other guys who are a zombie with a death grip on people's wallets.

Edit:
After spending some more time with it, it's very apparent why this will be in early access for a year or so. There's a lot of changes needed in terms of balancing, items needing to be added, entire skill trees needing to be fleshed out more, plenty of things to work on. What is there, is really good, but a lot of polish is needed until it can be a long term game like poe1 is. I'm excited to see what the future holds.

I bought it because of a sale and flashy colors.

The fiction agreement threw me off.

The actual game really threw me off.

I am now Charlie Day gluing cat fur all over my body living in your walls.

Who am I? even talking to?

Oh yeah, that's right, game is 10/10, go buy it.

It had performance issues initially, but those are gone for the most part now after just 3 updates. It still runs like a UE game though, so upscaling and frame gen are still a necessity. Even with a 4090 rig, I doubt you'll be able to natively run the game.

But moving beyond the performance issues, the game itself is great. Lots of things to do, lots of pretty visuals to enjoy. I don't think A-life 2.0 is still fixed completely, but it's already better than what it released with. One of my favorite things are the facial animations when speaking to people. It's actually properly done and has impressive amounts of detail, where I constantly look away from the subtitles just to watch their mouths move.

The environments are creepy as they should be. Going through each area on the initial playthrough provides a lot of spooky moments, not jump scares, where you can sense something else is roaming the halls with you and you should try your best to avoid it.

All in all, it's a Ukranian fallout game. But I'd say it's even better than a fallout game, as things are much more detailed, a bit more based in reality rather than trying to be cartoony, and the "scary" aspects are much more immersive.

It's not a perfect game, with the performance issues being the biggest detractor, I'm still only able to get ~80 fps with a 4070ti and frame gen turned on. But it's very much worth a play through, and you may get sucked into the zone even more than you thought you would. I'd give it a 9/10.

I'm pleasantly surprised with this. I'm not a big fan of titles like this usually, but decided to give it a shot anyways since it was on sale.

The premise of being a cult leader and controlling your followers to do your will is a unique and fun concept. I'm a big fan of the cutesy art style that has dark undertones.

Followed by very impressive visual execution. I'm amazed at how good it all looks. It doesn't have the most highly detailed visuals, but what it does have is executed flawlessly. The HDR effects really pop in this game with the amount of high contrast things happening on screen.

I know I haven't gotten that far in with only 3 hours, but I'm looking forward to some more time in this world.

If 10% of players cheat in a 5v5 game, then every game will have 1 cheater.

If you just shove 100+ players into one game, then surely things are bound to go well. Right?

That's why all BRs suck

The core game itself is amazing. Omnimovement feels great and I've really fallen in love with the max payne dives to catch enemies by surprise. The campaign was alright, I wouldn't really call it great, but it also didn't bother me. Zombies is fine.

But what ruins it is the complete lack of an anti cheat and the insane amount of cheaters that brings. I'm in the top 0% on xp, eliminations, and headshot damage according to the leaderboards, and yet only top 29% in terms of W/L. Looking at the top 1000 for each leaderboard, it is extremely obvious just how many cheaters there are and how blatant they get. At the high rankings, this game is just unplayable if you aren't cheating. I've pretty much come to expect at least 2 cheaters every match, but have seen as many as 8 in a 12 person lobby. How is this at all fun for anyone?

I had high hopes coming in with their claims of AI anti cheat, but it's either not working, not good enough to spot the xim users that are getting aim assist on m+kb, or Activision just whitelisted thousands of cheaters. It's already season 3, and they claim to have banned hundreds of thousands of cheaters, but they need to ban hundreds of thousands more, because the state of the mp is just in a burning dumpster.
