Lets get this out of the way....

New World could have been amazing. However they completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ UP.

I was going to write a huge review here but take it from me. I have 600 hours.

This game does not deserve your money.

Do you want to play an actual survival game with real consequence and genuine progression? This is it.
I've spent thousands of hours in games like Dayz, Rust, The Forest - etc and I can very safely say this is the best presentation of survival, albeit a single player experience.(pretty much the only downside)

Now, that being said, where does this game shine?

Well it's pretty simple to say this game shines like a glowing city atop the frozen Canadian hill of ice. Ready to grip you and not forgive you; but also ready to reward you for perseverence and not giving up, The Long Dark really comes through. Get your skills up, become familiar with the map, and search for the supplies you need to make it.

Can you overcome the frozen hellish landscape of Canada for an extended period of time? Or will you get your ass eaten by some wolves/a bear? Maybe die to frostbite; perhaps the untimely will come from a fall.

Many will try but few will become the wilderness manifest.

Anything wrong with the game?

Pretty much no. A thirty dollar game with hundreds of hours of experience and a unique and thrilling atmosphere.

10/10 Must buy imo. As much replayability as something like Faster Than Light - with the atmosphere of a frozen corpse in the woods.

Why the ♥♥♥♥ do they have to console-ify games that are maintained and popularized by PC players : /...

also aim assist is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LAME. If they get aim assist give me aim assist.
