Nearly everything that was annoying in previous installment - gone. A fantastic piece of software, with endless hours of fun (& learning).
+ more sensible menus, with a brighter, cleaner theme
+ cleaner note highway (with fret numbers under the notes)
+ a large amount of lessons for guitar and bass
+ more techniques recognized by the game engine
+ lots of new great songs
+ FANTASTIC session mode, which, with few improvements would be greatest guitar learning tool ever :) <- if You need one reason to buy the game, thats the one :)
+ nearly no loading times
+ lots of new, better executed arcade games
+ Smithy's Anvil :)

- no carrier mode
- it eats a lot of money (great DLC)
- no way to record jamming in session mode
- still no way to play with any audio interfaces other than the Real Tone Cable <- and sadly, if You need one reason to NOT buy the game, that could be it :(
