In the past few years, we've seen more and more sandbox-esque games release that offer "truly infinite" potential for replayability. Yes, games like No Man's Sky do have infinite potential in a sense, but not in a way that can offer a new experience every time you play the game.

Garry's Mod is a very special game in that the potential it offers is not only infinite but every experience is vastly different from the last. You won't find a series of gamemodes that offer little to no change from the last, but instead a whole variety of gamemodes; each variation putting their own twist on the concept.

As someone who has around 800 hours at the time of writing, I can say that there's so much more to offer for this game. Even with this many hours, I still feel that I haven't even gotten past 1% of the content offered. You see, Garry's Mod isn't really one big game, it's a congregation of many games that are all very different. You'll find yourself attached to 3 or 4 games at a time, spending weeks just focused on a small collection.

Consider Garry's Mod to be a one time membership fee. You only have to pay once before you have access to a collection of games. The games offered by the membership are always changing, so you'll never run out of new things to experience. If you're short on money but still want something that feels like a proper game, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Garry's Mod.
