If you didn't play it on switch, or if you have a group you play this with a lot, or if you just *really* enjoy the Monster Hunter franchise, then I highly recommend it. With the expansion on the horizon, I foresee even greener pastures than what one would expect.

While I wouldn't say it's as made with love as Monster Hunter World was, it certainly makes up for it in many areas. The Switch Skill mechanic allows for some proper player expression like Generations had with it's 4 weapon styles without creating a generic 'this is the best style' while also keeping the weapon complexity that World brought with. The art design for the weapons isn't as samey as World had with weapons being extremely different from one another in design; granted Iceborne fixed this. With the addition of Palamutes we now have an extremely fast paced way to chase down the monster and a safe way to sharpen our weapons, although in multiplayer choosing between a Palamute and a Palico is extremely clear; the Palamute's mobility far outweighs a Palicos usefulness, unless its an Arena quest.

Anyways, for the TL;DR people; first paragraph is who I recommend it to, second is some key differences from older games.

Oh, and Capcom if you are reading this; please let my hunter drink something other than tea ;_;

Early Access Review
Early Access, it's buggy, but it's got more than enough content to keep me coming back for more. At the time of me writing this the devs have released daily patches every day since release and just announced a better patching system and well... I can't wait to see what they release.
