I found the game to be enjoyable but I will admit I had higher expectations because I really enjoyed Momodora. This is a pretty common thing you'll see among the reviews, but to exclude mentioning that game anymore I still think this game is fine for a sub-10 hour experience.
For a metroidvania the experience is actually fairly linear with some secret rooms around but really it just leads to finding more coins to buy more passives/spells with. The weapons available really didn't excite me as I just stuck with the red blade that gives you a pseudo double jump. Speaking of which I actually was not able to finish the game because I ended up missing the last movement upgrade so I was at the 2nd to final room before realizing I couldn't actually reach the end lol.

I think the game has an awkward difficulty because the combat isn't crazy hard, but your HP pool really does not matter. I say this because as you progress through the game you just end up still being in the range of dying in two hits. I do not see a point in having your character level up and get antbites worth of HP if you're always playing in kill range. There's two bosses here where I found this to be annoying but one of those is post game so at least that one was understandable. However even with how fast you can die and the weird interactions with parrying bombs you are given plenty of healing to make it from save point to save point. I don't mind that part really if anything I think the game's difficulty outside of boss battles is just fine.
Overall it's easier to list any flaws I found but I still would consider it to be pretty fun, but I don't think it will make any real lasting impressions on you.

The first two chapters of this game are really well done but after that it tries too hard to incorporate puzzle elements and platforming which makes what should be a high speed game just feel really boring. You go from trying to complete the levels as fast as possible to rack up a large combo to just barely completing a level because level design comes down to don't die to lasers while sitting on a moving platform. Combine this with a really really ♥♥♥♥ finale and honestly the game just ends feeling like a 5/10 for me.

Oh no I really hate how Homestuck turned out but I like how this game is going.
Oh no am I going to be hurt again.
Oh no now I have to pay money this time to find out.
This game is a lot better when you have literally no expecations after 5 years.

tl;dr Ignore the bad reviews that came after recent news with GTAV. Keep in mind the port is shoddy for Win10 users.

I've replayed Bully around 8 times (With a 100% save on both PC and Xbox 360). To get an idea of how much this game means to me: I used to play this game once a year and it still feels fresh. Obviously I don't like the idea of people giving it bad reviews because of the problems going on with GTAV. It's not fair for this game to get treatment over something that's not directly related to it.

I of course am going to be biased and will say that this game is well worth the money. However I will say that anyone interested should be warned on the performance of the port. The PC port is known for sound issues and especially known for not running well on computers running Windows 10. I can say that during my completion run I had the game crash a total of 4 times; although I run a dual monitor setup which isn't friendly for a lot of PC games.

tl;dr This game loses it's appeal very fast and isn't worth the price.

Party Hard is a stealth game where you need to kill everyone in the level. You do this by stabbing people and setting up traps. Each party holds 35+ people for you to murder(the highest amount I've seen is 55). If you don't hide the bodies people call the cops, the cops bag the corpses, the partygoers get paranoid. The problem with the game comes from how painfully slow it gets. I understand that stealth games aren't fast pace, but this game is slow for horrible reasons.

Here's a list of what ruins the game
-Everyone walks like snails. The levels are too large for your horrible walk speed.
-Your sprint lasts for 0.5 seconds.
-It is almost impossble to stop someone from calling the cops.
-The traps placed are RNG. You get randomized traps that can make or break your run.
-You at most will get only five traps to work with
-Traps can either be worthless (killing only 1 person) or amazing(10+ people)
-There's no way to lure people. There is only a way to make people leave (Which is also RNG. People can knock you out, people can leave to random spots, or people can just ignore you.)
-Aboslutely horrible game design choices on FBI/Guards. If you're spotted by either, you die. You could be doing nothing, but you still die.
-The party music gets tiring very quickly because you'll spend so much time on a level. Maybe that's the point? This game is about the main character getting tired of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ parties. Either way be prepared to mute the game.

The traps being randomized was probably done in an attempt to give you a reason to replay levels. At least that's what I want to say. The problem with randomized traps is you will just softreset until you get a trap that's actually useful. Even then you can't guarantee good results because again, there's no way to lure people in. This decision to set up levels on RNG just makes the game feel like a chore rather than something I want to play.

Also if you're drawn into this game because you hear people compare to Hotline Miami: please ignore this game. These games have nothing similar to eachother besides having a pixelated man kill people to music. Hotline Miami is a much faster paced game. Party Hard is a stealth game that makes me want to go to sleep minutes into playing it.

The Twitch stream features and Youtuber mode should've probably been a give-away on what kind of game this is.
I'd say that the price of this game should be $5 or lower to be worth it. $12 is nowhere close to what I would pay for this, and I got this game for free!

It's better than all those pretentious walking simulators you're gonna see on steam/greenlight.
Only a dollar, it's seriously not even that bad. At least it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.
Not an amazing one however.
