from what i played going in after finishing the demo, i started over again to see if i missed anything and to regain thoughts of what i had for the game after playing the demo section

now that i have finished the full game (True Ending), I can now say what my full thoughts of this game are

while the start is a bit slow, everything starts picking up quickly after the first main dungeon, everything after that is really enjoyable and is a pretty story using the time, social link, and social stat systems from the modern persona games to push the narratives through!

despite that tho other then those systems that's where most of the comparisons with modern persona ends, as a example the battle system actually takes some mechanics from Megaten, where you have a set number of moves, and you only end up using half a turn if you hit a enemy weakness (taking from my knowledge from playing Megaten III), and extending some unique twists upon it to allow balancing for the archetypes system, an example of a twist would be no switching archetypes mid battle, you have to manage your party's archetypes when your out of a turn based battle

I did have a few issues with the game however, as i mentioned the start takes a bit to push through, mostly cause of a lot of it mostly introducing you to new concepts that the game wants to show off, but after that the only issues i have relates to story dialogue, some scenes feel a bit rushed, writing wise its finished, but hope you like reading at random when its important cause a few key scenes are not voice acted, granted some people don't mind reading, even i don't mind reading stuff, but some people now and days when playing a RPG would want all important cutscenes being voice acted so things don't break pacing for them

the last negative thing i will say that's a nit pick has to be the final area of the game, more rather the final boss, if you some how made it up there at level 67 like i did, hope you like grinding at the last section for a good chunk of your time, it took me till level 89 just to beat the final boss, and even then it took me at least a few hours just to beat it, but damn it did at least feel rewarding tho at least which leads to my overall thoughts

While i had some small gripes with Metaphor: ReFantazio, the story overall and everything down to the gameplay is really satisfying to play, going across the games many different area's sceneries and landscapes brings a lot of fresh air and it is refreshing seeing atlas trying something new story wise and hitting a mark with something i have not seen before for this kind of game that Metaphor is tying to be, Metahpor is quite literally a Metaphor for how we see thing in the real world and how we wish to make a change, but in reality if you want change, your going to have to do your best and push for that chance while working with people the best you can

Metaphor: ReFantazio in my eyes gets a pretty good score coming from me, a solid 8 out of 10, i would recommend to give this game a shot if anyone hasn't played any of Atlas's RPGs before, as well as recommend anyone who is familiar with the modern Persona games, it for sure is a whole new experience with familiar mechanics from the series
