First game in a while where playing for 8 hours straight felt like nothing. Would recommend to anyone that likes Monster Hunter-esque aspects like the grind and quests. Topped off with greatly varying playstyles between characters with flashy moves, I have found it to be extremely addictive. The story is fine, but the gameplay loop is where it's at.

Early Access Review
This game really has me immersed, which says a lot coming from someone that usually quickly becomes bored by RPGMaker-type games and games without a focus on gameplay in general. The art is amazing, the OST is really nice, the story is very interesting and is certainly something more on the unique side, it somehow manages to be sarcastic, funny and dark at the same time and is definitely best enjoyed without spoilers. I'm really excited for what's to come with this game's future updates (since this game's story is only about halfway finished at the moment), but I'm patiently waiting with a lot of optimism.

I used to dislike mech-related games before this.

Now I want to play more mech games.

If you like Hololive and Vampire Survivors then there is no reason you wouldn't enjoy this game.

This game makes several improvements on the game it's based on such as:

- Improved difficulty, some of the hard mode stages can be quite challenging if you didn't fully upgrade your store upgrades

- The ability to free-aim with your mouse or controller stick instead of being locked into the direction you're moving (seriously, this was a gamechanger for me)

- All characters have unique playstyles and aren't just there to progress some of the unlocks, each character has their own unique starting weapon, including usually 3 character-specific skills they can obtain through leveling up

- A lot of builds are viable, there is nothing in this game I can consider "truly useless", item-wise or character-wise

- Your favorite characters are very easy to obtain

The dev also has such passion for this game which is something that I love seeing.

Overall, even if you know nothing about Hololive, this is worth trying out. Even if just for the gameplay. And hey, maybe this game motivates people to check out the origin of the characters they like playing.

The worst experience...until you love it.

I've played this game after finishing DS3, so I already kind of knew what I am in for, but it has it's own charm that I don't think the other Dark Souls games deliver. The way the game tells you nothing but the most basic of controls the whole game is certainly not a good introduction for beginners, requiring you to do either your own research or spend lots of time browsing through heavily cluttered stat screens. All the information you need to beat the game is available inside the game, but I don't think FromSoftware did a good job at making that clear.

The world design in this game is magnificent, there's usually more than one path to follow, which may be intimidating to some, but allows lots of freedom with it's non-linear map connectivity, which I think is the strongest part of the game. The game rarely tells you where exactly to go, but lots of exploration will pay you back kindly.

Some of the areas in this game are straight up cruel if you don't know what to do, but I feel like the bosses, albeit enjoyable, were on the easier end, coming from DS3, I was pretty much breezing through the game most of the time. So experienced souls-like players most likely won't get their fair share of difficulty in this one. But it will still present a decent challenge for newcomers.

Overall, I love this game, and I can see myself replaying this a lot in the future.

9/10

Honestly, I believe the game itself is fine, if I'm only looking at the gameplay itself, albeit frustrating at times, it can still be fun.

But the company behind it, is one that I don't hold in high regard. Battlepasses suck, my original OW1 experience was stolen from me, I mean, there are skins that were previously available for free in lootboxes, that are now only obtained by buying them in the shop? Get out of here.

I went into this thinking I'd get a decent action-packed fighter jet campaign, however I did not expect to shed a few tears towards the end...

A deckbuilding/card game mixed with horror and rogue-like elements. Pure perfection. Must be my best find all year so far
