Update 30.01.2023 - Currently better than the remake of 2023. You can tell that the newest one excels in graphics and visuals but feels like a hollow husk compared to the original. Boiled down by corporate changes and politics instead of crafting art and making something out of passion like Visceral Studios did. You can feel some of their essence in Callisto Protocol, but this game sadly has some flaws of their own.

As someone who grew up with Alien and Dead Space, I recommend spending the money on the 2008 title and avoiding the remake.

Bis heute DAS Horrorspiel welches das Horror- Genre nachträglich geprägt hat. Inspiriert von absoluten Horror-Meilensteinen der Filmlandschaft wie "Alien: Ein unheimliches Wesen aus dem All" oder "Sphere die macht aus dem All" baut Dead Space eine unglaublich dichte Atmosphäre auf, die einen nicht mehr los lässt.
