Deus Ex is a hell of an experience

Is it outdated and clunky? Very much so. The ui is bad, controls are terrible, your arsenal is really unbalanced both ways and light rendering is broken which makes the game insanely dark. You'll probably hear often to install some launcher to make the game more bearable and id recommend you do that, unless you're a sadist like me and want to rawdog it.

But is it enjoyable? Even if it needs fan made mods to work well enough? Absolutely
Story is gripping and keeps making you want to know what happens next. I love the usage of irl conspiracy theories. JC's deadpan voice and one liners are hilarious. The ost is a bop from start to finish. (I'll never forget the rave at Area 51) But most importantly: Deus Ex has a large amount of choices you can make, routes to take, things to interact with. I enjoyed looking into every part of the map looking for secrets and i look forward to playing Invisible War

A must play type of game

I remember installing this game 7 years ago to get the Spiral Sallet, rushing thru the game to get it and then immediately uninstalling it without giving Spiral Knights a second thought.
Recently i got reminded this game exists and wanted to give it a go again thinking, what if i missed out on a really cool game? Its worth a shot im sure!

Well i played it for the past 3 days and im disappointed to say this game is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring. Played solo all the way, thinking it'll be a challenge but i'd call it more of a boredom and frustration filled experience.

The combat is so awfully basic, slow and janky. Your character moves slowly, swings slowly and your sword has tiny reach, sometimes even knockbacking enemies out of it before you can finish them adding to the frustration.
Im really not sure why do swords even exist here, they make you get up close risking dmg from the horde of enemies you're fighting meanwhile with bombs and guns you can endlessly kite and slowly whittle them away without any danger (but risking falling asleep)
I understand im not the most experienced and i don't know everthing about the combat but i don't see this working any other way.

Oh yeah, enemies. Its like they purposefully designed nearly every creature you encounter to be as annoying as possible and it only gets worse when theres many types together. Destiny 2 has less frustrating ai i swear to god. The occassional hiccups the game has don't help either which can cause enemies to skip their telegraphed attack animation and instantly hurt you, it's especially painful with Lumbers.

I have to mention crafting too. This game is REALLY grindy, which i guess shouldn't be surprising. There's a lot of things you need like items that RARELY drop from specific enemies, heat crystals, orbs of alchemy that never drop and you have to buy with crowns and recipes you also have to buy with crowns.
It's so grindy it's obvious it was all designed to make you want to spend real money on it. The game constantly reminds you about its ingame microtransaction store too.

I do have a few positive things to say. Spiral Knights is pretty, i adore the artstyle and armor designs. The ost is lovely.
Even the lore and story sound interesting to me but if i have to continue playing this boring game to hear more i'll pass.

Yeah i was a little frustrated when writing this. I would not recommend playing this, unless you want to get a cool tf2 hat.

Alright the forced 20 GB update that adds nothing important was the last straw
The game itself is fine i guess
Played 2 full playthroughs to see what the game has to offer and well, there isnt much..
My main gripes are
1. The world feels souless and empty, most npcs are interactable in the most basic way and only like 1 or 2 vendors have more than one dialogue line. The only time it feels like im actually talking to a person is when interacting with Johnny, one of my fav parts of this game.
2. Skill trees are absolutely pathetic, nearly all perks are just meager stat bonuses. Borderlands 2 did skill trees much much better 11 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years ago. Not to mention crafting is mostly locked behind one skill tree. meaning if you dont wanna spec into technical you wont be able to craft anything above uncommon items. too bad!
3. While the gunplay is enjoyable and the same goes for melee combat, the weapon pool is so small. For example there are only 2 lmgs, both are power and none are iconic, while pistols have tons of iconics to choose from.

and you know what, even with all this i'd be willing to give this game a recommended
IF the game didnt run like ♥♥♥♥
and didnt have copious amounts of INFURIATING unfixed bugs
Cyberpunk has the worst popin ive ever seen in any game EVER
the time it takes for textures to properly load is unacceptable
This is the first and last game im buying from cd project.

After putting so many hours into No Man's sky the game has suddenly decided to ♥♥♥♥ me over and delete all my multi-tools, pets and discoveries i've collected during my playtime.
From what i've read this bug can occur when you have a lot of hours recorded on one save, so if you ever plan on sticking with this game for a long time, beware.

Way to show your appreciation for me playing the game so much.
Thanks Hello Games.
