I would highly recommend if you can grab it on sale. To enjoy this game, you must enjoy the core game play mechanics. The missions are extremely repetitive and the story is somewhat sub-par. The core game play mechanics however, are quite enjoyable. The stealth isn't perfect, and I'm not a huge fan of the gun play, since the assault rifles, smgs, and lmgs are extremely inaccurate, but the snipers are quite fun to use, as well as bows. shotguns are fun with incendiary rounds, and outpost liberations are fun despite repetitiveness.

SINGLE PLAYER - 10/10

ONLINE - ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ where do I start. There was a time where you would occasionally come across a cheater and get worried about him exploding everyone in the lobby, but there was hope because maybe he would spawn some of the new vehicles or make it snow. These days, it's still 50/50, but the novelty of the "benevolent" cheaters has warn off. They ruin the immersion of trying to have fun with my buddies by spawning cars on top of us, teleporting to us, and teleporting us to places of his choosing. AND NONE OF THAT IS TO MENTION - That every couple of months there's a new exploit that allows cheaters remote access to your computer. Mostly they can only modify game files, but who knows where that tech could lead in the future.

TL;DR - Buy the game on sale and play single player. Do not touch online if you value your time, sanity, and money.

Even in 2019 its easy to find servers, even at night, if you live in North America. If you live in EU you have a few good options, if you live anywhere else, you'll have to deal with lag

This is a decent game. Don't spend money on it. This game is super simple with no real objective other than spin and shoot. It's not bad, especially if you really need to kill 5-10min, but you would more than likely get bored soon after that. This is one of those things where it's like, ok I got it for free, so I'll try it out, and then never play it again. Once the time to get it free is over, I would say definitely do not buy it. There are plenty of other free time wasters out there.

Maybe a bit of an exaggeration, but I have a lot of problems that I'll categorize below

Weapons: Most of the weapons are now impossible to unlock. In the past, almost all weapons were available no matter how underpowered, but "obsolete" weapons have been mostly removed. This is unfortunate, because us older players that have almost all of the guns and are missing a couple have to just hope that they get brought back some day. While they're underpowered compared to a lot of the new weapons (and armor, but I'll get to that in a minute) they're some of the coolest guns (the ones that the developers thought to add first, I.e. AUG, Famas, AWM, MP9, various pump action shotguns, and MANY more)

* It should be noted that, while you do receive a permanent weapon from every other level up or so, its a tiny fraction of the game's arsenal, and it misses out on many of the older weapons, and almost all of the new weapons. The new weapons, which are almost always the most powerful, can be VERY expensive to get due to the nature of Random Boxes. When they're available for direct purchase, they're usually at least $10 if not closer to $20.

ARMOR: Armor is the most recent victim of Warface's power creep. It used to be that almost all weapons could kill an enemy with one shot to the head, and almost all bolt-action sniper rifles could kill an enemy with one shot to the torso. Unfortunately, a lot of the armor will allow an enemy to survive shots that they would never be able to in the past. This is extremely unsatisfying, as one of the main draws to Warface over any of the AAA was the importance of headshots.

MAPS: Every since 2016 or so, they've been occasionally reworking maps. While they have optimized some maps for performance, which I applaud, they've somehow made a lot of the maps even more bland, colorless, and removed many of the parkour skill checks (which may be a good thing depending on who you ask, but not me)
