Early Access Review
Edit: After playing some of the new levels, they're *HARD*. Most of the current 2ish hours I've spent has been on two of the medium-hard levels. They're not too hard to be completed where you feel like giving up either, it just takes a lot of thinking to realize what needs to be done and how to have the cars flow without interrupting one another, especially when trying to beat the dev score. A tip is to pay attention to the level names, sometimes they give a hint on how a level can be done! Overall though I'm loving the new content and am excited to play more :)

----------------------------------------

I initially purchased this game on itch, and just redeemed my steam key. I beat all of the levels previously, and had a great time while doing so!

I'm a huge fan of puzzle games, and also city simulators (Cities skylines, SimCity, etc) but end up dabbling in the traffic portions of those games the most. This game is the beautiful lovechild of those two genres, allowing many different combinations of roads to complete puzzles based on how many cars pass through your intersections. You can solve these in whatever method you'd like, and I've spent many hours trying new ideas and rerouting traffic just to get a few more cars through. (roundabouts ftw)

I see a bright future for this game, not only because of the gameplay mechanics themselves and the detailed control on where you can direct cars, but also because of the developer and their amazing progress. On going into early access on Steam, they've DOUBLED the amount of levels from the itch version, included a tutorial section that demonstrates each game mechanic, and added many quality of life updates such as being able to more easily control traffic light timing and a simulation speed up button. As soon as the game released they had hotfixes incoming to solve any community discussed issues. They're attentive to the players of the game, and I can't wait to see what the new updates are as they come out!

Please drop the $5 for this game, I've already had over 5 hours of enjoyment from half of the content that's in the game now (need to go play those), and I'm sure there's plenty more to come :)

I hope this is not like Mini Motorways. While both Mini Metro and Mini Motorways can frustrate me, Mini Motorways even more. But the problem with these games is for me simply in the fact that they are really more puzzles and stressing due to no time to think (sure, there is a pause, but...) and I would like to have more realistic traffic management sim/strategy, complex, but simplistic, so for example still in 2D, with limitations of shapes, but thorough and enjoyable even for a person, who does not like time trials or chase for the best score.

Anyway I will probably try it, because it reminds me old same style graphics free game from around 2000, which was also more puzzle, but still funny.

I've tried both, the only thing I didn't really like with those is the time constraint and random generation of new buildings means there isn't a "best way" to solve the situation, which means I can't sit there for hours getting a fully optimized solution lol. As a whole I've enjoyed playing them, but I like to be able to spend more time figuring out the paths

If you enjoyed this game, have you tried Mini Motorways or Mini metro? They give off the same vibes and are quite fun to play imo
