gameplay is fun for awhile.

Played for 12 hours, 3 hours was all it took to be used to all the combat dynamics you will encounter. stopped dying completely at that point.

can't complete achievements in 1 run because random nature of game.

story is terrible. At first very interesting. When you complete the game it leaves you with more questions than answers while simultaneously destroying all the lore you previously unlocked and thought you understood.

Would not recommend. not worth the time.

Game is like a budget dark souls with way less vetted combat.

You have toads with instant lock on, so you will roll behind them, and they will no animation spin and attack you faster than they can move.

The boss of the game has a grab attack that will instant come at you, grab you from 5ft in any direction.

countless bugs with your light saber attacking while inactive, and being active while put away leaving a light saber hanging out of your ass.

Most jedi abilities are so situational that it really only leaves a few that are worth getting, the best strong attack you get in the main story.

overall story was meh, worlds were even more meh, fighting was meh.

Coolest part of the story was the most controversial. A version of darth vader appears where his force powers are 100x they are in any movie. cool but also wtf.

Been a decade since I played a star wars game, might be another decade before I give another one a shot with this busted experience.

one of the best halos I have played in years but that being said. its still a console first game. ranked mm is forced crossplay so you watch aim assist rule over reaction time and precision aim. in game chat refuses to come out of my headset and will only come out of the speakers meaning I haven't talked to anyone in game. skins are pointless and valueless. Probably great on xbox, on PC. wouldn't recommend. busted and second class.

Update: bought the campaign attempting to keep up with the story and it was on sale. Its been a year and they had some large updates and I figured it would be enjoyable. It was and wasn't. Open world very cool. I spent about 40 hours doing everything to do on the map...unlocking bases, all side missions, collecting skulls, exploring, upgrading armor, playing the mission, and doing it on legendary.

Overall good time, but this game is still fundamentally busted. During co-op there were soo many syncing issues with the host I would spawn in with the map opened after every cut scene, I would NOT be able to switch spartan abilities or grenades, and if the game crashed I would not be able to reconnect. Hilariously broken. At least it was hilarious.

During campaign they have this dumbass design where "you can't unlock the door because enemies are nearby"...♥♥♥♥♥ the ai does it for you anyways....regardless of the no thought behind it explanation... there were 2 moments where the enemies spawned/got stuck underneath the ground. Meaning I cleared all the enemies and one of them is in a freaking rock/mountain/ground where you can't shoot through. no penetration in this game. Hard stuck. Luckily i was able to progress onces using aoe damage from a coil. Stupid.

AI is awful and easy to exploit. My buddy found a ledge above a door to stand on and the ai just stop responding in a boss fight. Same boss fight i would jump off a ledge and walk up a ramp to jump off the ledge again...the boss couldn't comprehend a direct path would be best and let me shoot him again. very premapped routes causing really stupid movement patterns to exploit. And this is what you will do all game. exploit movement patterns on legendary. jump off a ledge causing the ai to run 1000 meters to get to where you are to grapple back up.

Levels say they save progress but they don't manage to save special playthrough variables. played through the last mission on legendary to get the skull without damaging any sentinels but the game crashed and I had to reload. took a ton of time running past these idiots AND door is locked. never did any damage in any rooms with sentinels..so....cool guys.

big boss fights are more wave of enemy focused than interesting mechanics.

Legendary has never been this easy.

achievement hunters have their work cut out for them at least. over 140 of them.

Overall still can't recommend.

Sick game fun to play. good music, hard flicks for top scores. Got to top ten in the world in 13 hours. Though I'm sure some young aim talent will destroy me easily.

Some notes:
If you have problems seeing colors this is going to be a nightmare.

Lot of the levels are black on black so creates some difficult spatial awareness.

Could really benefit from a demo system, would love to see my runs again so I could see where to improve, or demo the top map runs. Without demos there is a missing component in the community, lack of competitive integrity, and a sense of competition.

Lack of interesting shortcuts.

Great game, terrifying at points. Once you get past the fear of being dragged to hell then it gets real fun just yelling at demons and getting your friends scared.

Muck balancing is broken af. It's fun but fighting through the glitches, and unbalanced bs rarely leaves me happy to have played it. Takes hours to scale to get close to beating the game, then you can be 1 shot by a guardian.

Wouldn't recommend over similar games.

Has some of the funniest bugs I have ever seen.

Women with their ♥♥♥♥♥ out peeing. Cars flipping into the air. People running through walls you need to kill.
Enemies thinking you are friendly making the mission a walk in the park. bosses being stuck in the air. you dying walking off a very small ledge and dying from fall damage. suddenly sprinting forward 1000 ft. NPCS not saying anything when dialog is supposed to occur. jumping onto a hologram and floating in air. getting a save state in front of a moving car that slowly runs you over each spawn.

This is just from my personal experience.

Graphically its amazing even with the bad glitches. Story is very good. Gun play is okay. I'm playing very hard and it feels rather easy. Could have made it more difficult.

how can i describe cs2...pretend your loving father died suddenly, then your creepy uncle who touches you a bit too much moved in and tells you just pretend i'm your dad. then your mom, youtubers, friends, all gaslight you and tell you its the same thing.

but the more you play with your new dad, the more your ass hurts.

its not the same.

The core fighting experience is better than dark souls, highly recommended!
