I've always had the dream of developing games, but I feel so disheartened by the gaming industry today. Its more about pumping out as much souless crap as possible, rather than having any respect for the passion people put into their creations or customers who spend their hard earned cash. It seems to be getting better, but the industry has become afraid to take risks and stale and developers seem to want artists and coders they can underpay, overwork, underapreciate, and own like slaves more than they want people who actually have good original ideas, can tell a story, or actually have any artistic vision. These days I don't think I want to be part of this industry. I'd rather just participate in user made content.
