New World is a game that sparks both admiration and frustration in equal measure. On the one hand, it showcases some of the most impressive technical achievements in the MMO genre. Its engine is nothing short of outstanding, delivering breathtaking visuals, seamless landscapes, and immersive environments. The combat system, without a doubt, is the best I've ever experienced—fluid, engaging, and brimming with potential to redefine action-based MMO gameplay.
But here's the kicker: the brilliance of New World is being systematically sabotaged by its own leadership, particularly Game Director Scot Lane. This man seems utterly clueless about what he's doing. For years, the community has been voicing the same issues and offering clear feedback. And what does Scot do? He insists he knows better, leading the game deeper into a quagmire of poor decisions.
Let’s talk specifics:
1. PvP Content: There’s only one Outpost Rush (OPR) map and two arena maps—and it’s been like this for years. The matchmaking for PvP modes is horrible you wait way to long for a quick match with randoms. There should be a FFA mode or Team Deathmatch etc.
2. Story Mode: The story has been reworked multiple times, leaving players to slog through revamped content that lacks coherence or excitement. The recent 40GB update is the worst offender yet, introducing a disastrous PvP server concept that defies logic and alienates the community.
3. Incompetence on Display: Upon the release of the latest update (21.01.25), players were logging out in droves right after completing the tutorial. Why? Because no one wants to relive the same rehashed story year after year. Scot Lane’s grand vision for New World is complete garbage—an absolute train wreck of wasted potential.
The community is unanimously disappointed. No one I know has anything positive to say about the developers, and this speaks volumes about the leadership. New World could have been the perfect MMO, but under Scot Lane’s direction, it’s spiraling toward its grave.
Amazon Games, it’s time to wake up. Either fire this man or prepare to bury New World for good. This update might very well be the final nail in the coffin.
Final Verdict: A flawed masterpiece held hostage by poor leadership. Save yourself the frustration unless drastic changes are made.
Sometimes its better to listen to the Workers in MC Donalds how the Burgers are made and not make an assumption you know better. We play this game for 1000s of Hours not you Scot.

Worst FF Game ever played

Very nice game, i hope it will gain more players. Fighting makes fun, Graphics are very nice i think it will be a very serious opponent for Rito. If Netmarble hears to the players i think there cant go something wrong.
