The biggest "buyer's remorse" I've had since Nick All-Star Brawl, and that is not something I say lightly.
Basically everything about this game is bad, from the animations, to the levels, to the sound design, to the controls, and especially to the difficulty. Cuphead has a reputation for being hard, but this is stupidly hard, I probably won't finish it for the foreseeable future.

Sonic the Hedgehog fúcking died! Finding out who killed him was a trip and a half! Some other cool stuff happened afterwards!

Also, a certain cameo at the end made me very happy. :)

This game rapes me. It rapes me hard and good. Death always looms just around the corner. It takes serious patience just to go from one area to another.

But yet I love it. The artstyle is one thing, but the journey to the end is what really matters. Gradually finding out how the mechanics and items work, interacting with the various wildlife, piecing together the scale and history of the world... I just wish there was music playing for 90% of the game instead of 20%.

I was going to get this game on sale, but the word-of-mouth eventually got to me. As soon as I booted it up and saw the opening, I was already convinced it was worth 20 bucks. And then there was the fluid animations, the wacky sound effects, the banger music, the levels that each have their own interesting gimmick, the fast-paced boss fights... yeah this game is fúcking great and you probably shouldn't wait for a sale.

I'm just glad that I got into it less than a month after release, instead of two years after release like with Hollow Knight and Cuphead. Those games had a bright future ahead of them, and I hope this one does too.

This game didn't click with me right away, but after gradually figuring out its unorthodox drifting system, I think it's alright. It feels a little bit slower than what I'm used to, not being able to hear other players' character voices and kart engines is really lame, and the always-online model has its obvious problems. But when the PC market is starving for any decent kart racers, this gets the job done, especially since it's free.

I just hope that its playerbase lasts long enough to kill the time waiting for Dr. Robotnik's Ring Racers to come out.

An abject failure of a sequel. It's not nearly as bad as Half-Life 2, but there are still large cracks. The core gameplay of "shoot enemies, glory kill to restore ammo, repeat" is fundamentally broken because it means bosses have to constantly spawn fodder enemies for the sake of ammo. The story from its beginning does not resolve Doom 2016's ending in a satisfying way, and gradually becomes worse and worse of a clusterfúck. Mick Gordon ended up as yet another tragic victim of the "beloved composer falls out with other developers" scenario. And worst of all, the removal of snapmap and traditional multiplayer has damned the game's replay value, not helped by the cancellation of invasion mode.

Please play Ultrakill instead. Doom 2016 walked so that game could run.

Doom: The Golden Souls 2, but with the design philosophy of Super Meat Boy. Plus it has an actual interesting use of cards instead of being deckbuilder #2576, what an accomplishment! Unfortunately the soundtrack didn't click with me as it did for many others, and I had to disable the insufferable voice acting as soon as I entered the first level, but this is still a very solid and highly replayable game.

And yes, I would fúck Violet.

This game promises to be a stupid fun source engine shooter, and indeed it is. It's not much different than fragging in a random Garry's Mod server. But since the multiplayer scene of Garry's Mod is a husk of its former self, an alternative for reliving the old days is all fine and good.

However, the game is nitpicky as hell. I have so many minor issues with it. Why does it always start in borderless windowed mode, and I have to manually set it to fullscreen? Why is there an obnoxious ambient sound constantly playing in the main menu? Why doesn't the server browser tell you which game mode each server is playing? Why does it seem like my playermodels are random colors, when the customization works just fine in Garry's Mod? Why the fúck is "mat_disable_bloom" considered a cheat command, when I can adjust it in many other source engine games? And, most importantly, why are the developers backing away in cowardice to the idea of sprays?

People really hate the levels in Banjo-Tooie, and for some good reasons, but the levels in this game are even worse. While many of the levels in Banjo-Tooie are chopped up into smaller segments, you will have more-or-less the entire fúcking map shoved in your face when Yooka and Laylee spawn in, potentially overwhelming you. And that's not even taking into consideration how you can later expand each level into an even larger mess.

Plus the game is painfully unoriginal to begin with. I understand that it's made by some former Rare developers, but surely there was a better way to convey a "spiritual successor" to Banjo-Kazooie.

This game is only truly enjoyable if you are playing it without knowing any spoilers beforehand. If you were spoiled before you decided to try it out, you are shít out of luck.

Deltarune has better gameplay, anyway.
