Gara legutóbbi értékelései

I wasn't really sure what to expect from this game judging by the screenshots/trailer on the storepage.
So here are my thoughts after completing it in case other people also struggle with the same issue.

In my opinion it's one of those games that are more focused on the art than on the actual gameplay.
The world looks beautiful and together with the soundtrack it offers a very relaxing and nice experience.
The photo mode is also extremely good with tons of filters that you can adjust. If you activate one of the filters you can actually play the game with this filter on, so you get some very crazy graphics.

The gameplay part on the other hand is rather simple. It often feels similar to a walking simulator, because nothing can hurt you and most of the time you just glide through space or slowly walk on a planet.
But there are also some nice small mechanics mixed it in, like situations where you have to press specific button combinations in a small amount of time or some cipher puzzles wich are fun to solve.
It also has a story, but it's nothing groundbreaking.

I played with a controller since the game seems to be designed that way.
I had only a problem with an achievement that required you to fly through multiple rings. I think I tried it around 30 minutes to get this with the controller, but there are often rings that require a very sharp curve and I just couldn't do it with the controller. So I switched to keyboard & mouse for that and after getting used to the controls I got it in like 5 minutes.

Overall I recommend the game, but keep in mind it's more focused on the art part and it's also just 3-5 hours long depending on how much optional stuff you do :)

A lewd HOG with a very cool artstyle :)

It's a bit expensive since it only takes about 2-3 hours to complete it, so it's probably better to wait for a sale.
The scenes are kind of funny, but there could be more. Some missed opportunities, it's mostly vanilla.
I had a few problems with the menu, but nothing critical.

Would be nice to have a button to hide the UI, so that people can make better screenshots :)

Really good Tower Defense game that's a lot of fun to play :)
Some stages seemed pretty hard, but I'm not a TD expert.

The only negative is that it doesn't have a speed-up function :/
So losing on the last waves hurts a lot.

Amazing game and highly addictive :)
Gives you that "just one more run"-feeling.

I didn't think it would grab me that much because I already watched tons of hours on twitch when it initially came out, but I was wrong :3

I like that this game covers some disturbing stuff, that other games often seem to avoid :3

The environments look amazing and the writing is also very nice.

Puzzles are okay-ish, but I'm not really a puzzle guy...if I'm stuck for a bit I just look up a guide.
I'm more interested in the story and I enjoyed this one.

I didn't like that the Settings are not directly in the game...you have to start the config tool for that.

Good music and art :)
Swimming minigame is kinda hard

I may have had a bit of water in my eyes at the end :3

I'm sure a lot of people think "That's just some cheap RPGMaker crap"...
Please don't judge a game by its engine. That's stupid :3 (And you make it obvious that you never played "To the Moon" :P)
But it's true that RPGMaker games have limitations. They don't have fancy 3D animations and they often use similar gameplay mechanics, etc.
But how can an RPGMaker game be good then? With story & characters.
And that's what you get with this game :)
Interesting characters and a 30h+ story that is often pretty dark, but the characters also have ways to make you laugh :)

Other positives:
+ Great soundtrack
+ Very nice environments with lots of details
+ Good battle mechanics with AOE-attacks, summon-attacks, etc.

What I didn't like:
- You get a lot of skills that cause status effects on enemies (wich is nice), but they become pretty useless during bossfights, because most of them are immune against those attacks :/
- The character Throg...he just doesn't seem to fit in that well.


I hope more people play this game, it really is a steal for that price :)

The puzzles are fine, but...

- videos are not working on a newer OS, so you don't really know what's going on in the game and there's no update in sight
- bugged achievements (I didn't get the the ones for the last region and finishing the game, even though I got the one for getting all chests, wich is also only possible if you beat the game)
- in one level it happened two times that characters randomly got teleported to another one and were stuck, so I had to restart the whole level...
