Is this the best game ever? No, not even close. Does this game run like ♥♥♥♥ on every possible configuration? Hell yes.
Will this game provide you with the most fun you'll ever have? Oh ♥♥♥♥ yes.

Owning this game is like having a physically and mentally disabled child; It doesn't function properly, it only slightly resembles what you want from it yet you still love every tiny bit of it.

The modding community is absolutely amazing, providing us with mods that add realism, WW2 and Vietnam overhauls and even Halo and Star Wars overhauls. In this regard it's pretty similar to Garry's Mod, except that this game has less 12 year olds (still a large amount though).

What is the gameplay like? Pretty much whatever you want it to be like, there's bound to be something you like. However if you want the full arma experience the best thing to do is to join a community so that you're completely safe from any trolls and online idiots.

Buy it!

Let me start off by saying that the core game is actually very good. The combat and movement is really smooth, especially the transition between them, the city is absolutely humongous (what else do you expect from a city with 6.3 million residents) and in the moments that this game actually runs well it looks beautiful.

However, I don't recommend the game in it's current state for the same reason as others have stated; it's a horrible PC port. Hell, even AC: Unity was a better PC port than this. I've got the recommended specs (gtx 760 and i7 3770) yet running this game at a mixed low-normal video profile is too much to ask. While I'm able to run the game at 50 to 60 fps drops to >20 fps are overly present, no matter what I do. There are however certain situations that seem to lure these drops more than others, the most prominent ones being:
-Calling/Driving the batmobile;
-Tabbing out and back in, this absolutely kills the frames which could only be fixed by restarting;
-Going from an indoors area to an outdoors area.

In it's current state you should not buy the game, even if you've got an entire render farm in your basement, just to get Rocksteady to get their ♥♥♥♥ together.

I will update this review once this game is playable on a rig that Rocksteady advertises as more than competent to run this game at minimum settings.
