It's more of what you're used to. I feel like they simplified the tech and building trees quite a lot, got rid of some units and now it's much, much more structured.
Now I just need a "I have a 4k monitor, let me actually see something!" mode so I can get rid of the annoyingly huge user interface.
But that's been a gripe for a while now. More zooming out please!
The writing and humour is what we're used to. Immersion? Zero.
If I had one complaint regarding that, it would be to go the Dungeon Keeper route for the writing and keep it 'serious but light' - but maybe with less wall-breaks. There are no walls left after the campaign.

Still, much fun was had, there were a few challenging levels and I even laughed. So. Get it!

An excellent game that does exactly what it says on the tin.
I just want the ability to zoom out more in Dungeons 4. The entire experience felt like battling the interface to get to see the interesting things.
Larger armies, more creatures, MANY more snots are all on my wish list.. frankly I'm unsure why there's even a unit cap if I can manage to keep 'em happy.
The narrator is a star. Narratus, even.

I think I am getting the hang of it now.

People might say: "Cities skylines is essentially just a traffic manager simulation."

To which I'd respond: Well, yes, but you can also make a gorgeous looking city.

People might also say: "It gets boring after a while".
To which I'd say: You've clearly never messed with water features on a map you spent a few hundred hours developing.

7/10.
10/10 if you use the most essential workshop mods and assets. The modding community for this game is I-N-S-A-N-E-L-Y good.

I don't write reviews often, but I have to offer one on Fallout 4.

I grew up in a time where Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale, Planescape Torment and the original fallout games were the gold standard in role-playing games.
And boy were they.
Having just come off a fresh run-through of Baldurs Gate II - Shadows of Amn, I caught Fallout 4 at a discounted price and set off.
I just.. can't. I have played Fallout 3 to death. I have played New Vegas to death. I liked the games, because I had actual options in how I wanted to approach things, there were secrets to be learned, alternate methods of carrying out quests and I found a genuine interest in the npc's around me.
Unlike Skyrim, Morrowwind and the like, which has never been able to keep my interest for very long, I've had a soft spot for the fallout titles, despite their faults, because they updated a game series I grew up with and loved to bits.
This resulted in me spending at least a thousand hours across the two games. Since I bought both in hard copy, most of those hours were not on Steam. In spite of that, I even purchased them as GOTY editions and played them again on steam - just to support the developers.

To the game at hand:

* Everyone is always hostile. Why, oh why, can't I interact with the raiders? Why does every single thing that isn't me want to kill me. How the hell do the various random merchants and caravanners even stay alive?! My first interaction with the gunners faction was me running a bit too close to their compound and getting shot at. After decimating all of them, even a few named characters, I felt empty and saddened - that I didn't even have an option of speaking to them, seeing what they were about, altering anything at all.
* I am the savior of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ world. Seriosuly. I take three steps outside of a vault and suddenly I'm Jesus to everyone I meet. I am the single person able to help people and save the wasteland. Really.
* Settlement building is a nice touch. Creating a thousand settlements is not. Really, it's not. Frankly I'd have preferred an Assassin's Creed type settlement thing, where I'd gather resources and purchase pre-defined upgrades to improve the lives of my settlers. That would work just fine, when the alternative is the horrid and useless settlement building options. I even tried modding them heavily, but it still sucks. I might have enjoyed it more had I been able to remove all that ugly debris and build something that was actually nice to look at. But everything has to look like a toddler with a hammer threw it together during the course of an afternoon.
* Every single follower character takes literally zero work to get. They practically throw themselves at you. I ended up going it alone because they are all so horribly useless in my preferred stealth-type gameplay. Even "dogmeat" I found extremely annoying, and he always ended up getting himself horribly maimed too. They also have the personalities of moist toilet paper, which is particularly painful when you look at people like CDPR doing excellet stuff with immmersion on a title like The Witcher 3. There's just no "oomph" to any of the characters. I don't give two ♥♥♥♥♥ about them. Not one of them. Hell, even when I found my son I was so underwhelmed I just wanted to leave and wish him all the best.
* The game-endings suck, there's literally zero depth and nothing you do matters the least.
* The dialogue options are non-existant. You can only play one type of character, you can have absolutely zero personality. Contrast this to dialogue in Baldurs Gate II, I could probably fit the entirety of any FO4 NPC's dialogue in to a single selection of responses to a question in Baldurs Gate II.
* The Factions - Fallout 4 excells in a way, that has made me hate every single available faction in the game. Why I can't act as a unifying force for them, or why I can't serve to help them cohabitate is beyond my comprehension. I can think of no reasons why that shouldn't be possible. Oh. Wait. I just realized. The dialogue options are non-existant so of course you can't really afffect anything.
* Game physics are whack as you'd expect from Bethesda. Meelee still has no oomph, and even with a few faction overhaul mods I'm still left unimpressed.
* How does anything survive with that many Rad Scorpions and Death Claws running around at higher levels? Hell, given the sheer amount of Raiders in the game, how does anything with more than two legs even stand a chance at reproducing?
And don't get me started on "Legendary Enemies" - what a botched concept. Sudden mutations, what is this, the X-Men?

In short, I have never spent so much time playing a game before. And it's not because I couldn't put it down, but because I could barely play a half hour before getting so mind-numblingly bored that I had to do something else.

Maybe I'm just too old for this ♥♥♥♥.

Excellent game, but not long enough to warrant the full price. I got it at 14,95 which is fair.
I had a big dumb grin on my face throughout, which I suspect is the intention. Deadpool at times feels overpowered, other times it's easy to get stuck on the mechanics and die quickly. Regardless, the combo system is forgiving, so it doesn't matter that it's not as fluid as the Arkham series is, for example.

If you appreciate the character - I guarantee you'll get some serious laughs out of it.

10/10 would look at Rogue's boobs again.

They ruined it.
After Dungeon Keeper this was the closest thing to a continuation I could find. It had a dungeon heart, minions and a "leader". It was glorious.
I bought this, luckily with a discount, hoping they'd rehashed the old games.
They had not.
They have managed to completely ruin the series. If you feel like tanking around repetitive areas in a diabloesque fashion, unable to target enemies and just button mashing.. well... this is the game for you.
I am sorely disappointed.

They truly finished a trilogy with this game, and in what style. I can't even speak of how much I hope to see more games with this engine in other universes - and more games in this one!
The engine deserves praise beyond all else, except maybe the writing.

I have poured my heart and soul in to this series, and they finished it beautifully. They really did.

I cannot recommend this game enough, I just can't!

There is a very short list of downsides;

* The combat system is somewhat clunky, you keep getting stuck to things when whirling around so facing groups of enemies can be a tactical nightmare, particularly in cramped spaces. Takes getting used to, and you can get proficient at it.. but I do wish they thad tweaked the implementation somewhat better.
* I can get stuck on small pieces of furniture in my way, or not be able to grab on to ledges I should be able to grab on to.. that sort of thing. I'm thinking this should be adressed so I don't have to walk around a huge area because Geralt can't grab on to a grassy ledge.
