I hope the money you saved by using stolen art from AI makes up for going from Very Positive to Mixed and all the sales you will loss from that. What a stupid design choice in an otherwise fun game. the new ui actually looks really clean to if it wasn't for the booty cheeks looking ai "art"

Edit: AI art was removed! however why this is still negative; im not a hyper competitive pvp person, i play the survival mode but the "updates" to it don't fix its problem of being unfair and only really lets you get away with spamming the best units in a way that's bs and uninteresting since the ai changes there whole set up to be a counter to yours each turn.

70% Starship Troopers, 20% Warhammer 40k, 10% Halo. 100% Satire and a hell of a good time.

one of the best RPGs out there. Expanded on 5e to make a more balanced and interesting experience. Fun story and characters. Cried 3 times. on 4th solo playthrough with more planned with friends.

Has preformance issues, some enemies have BS mechanics with the only counter being a crafted item whose book is somewhere not near the location the enemies you need it for are, Co-op is extremely limited. However, its one of the best games I've played in my life, it has so much possibility, so many ways to play and its so complete.

Take your time, play with what looks cool, and you will have a great time.

3 bucks and 10-15 hours to unlock everything. Pretty worth in my opinion.

Edit: they keep adding more so I keep getting stuff to do.

This is Monster Hunter boss fight gameplay in its purest form. If your looking for immersive hunting elements its not the monster hunter game for you, but if you enjoy the skill and fun of fighting the monsters in a fast and streamlined way you'll enjoy this.

Weapons feel much more distinct with silkbind and switch skills its like the perfect child of Hunter Arts and Clutch claw.
Movement feels so good it it almost hurts playing the older games.
Hunting Horn is way smoother, everyone complaining is wither a corner horner who doesnt have an excuse to hide anymore or is just someone who hates change
Blast Dast makes gunlance so fun despite its still lacking damage output.
Longsword is still OP as is bowguning if thats what you enjoy.
Tips for those seeking a more immersive hunting experiance; limit your UI, the biggest thing is turning off your map and hunting the monsters the old way with blind luck and some memorization.
Turning off damage numbers can even feel a little better where you have to tell if an attack hit based on animations and how much damage you do by how much blood is in the animation.

Does it have issues: yes, every mon hun game has.
Monster Riding is manditory and can be very abusable, not clutch claw bad but still.
RNG is still how they fill the end game and its not a healthy RNG but its better than deco farming. I have 2500 hours in world across 2 platforms and never got a might bow jewel. This game its back to craftable decos and farming necklaces which means more skills availible in your build and a good charm is easier to get than a single rare deco.
Weapons are not balaced against each other but they never have been and you still have 50 minutes to complete a hunt so it doesnt really matter that much.

All in all this is my favorite monster hunter game, especially to come from Ichinose as game director and I am excited to see what happens with sunbreak.

The game is Fun, yes it has problems, but its fun. The Ai has pathing issues like every game. The game is far superior to mordhiem. Also this is not a 1 to 1 of the tabletop game so dont go in expecting that. Also its a like 12 person team that made it and not priced as a $60 game.

+Maps are fun and diverse.
+Class and skill system is complex and fun to optimize.
+Setting feels great.
+Controls are easy to understand and not jank as hell like Mordhiem
-AI are silly sometimes. its not the worst AI I've seen though. They like running into walls for a bit before deciding to kneel or overwatch,
+Graphics arent going to be AAA but the game is still very pretty.
+Mechanics of the game are diverse. Melee does more Damage than Ranged but Ranged has the range on the enemy so it feels balanced. The objectives are always worth doing once you start with custom gangs. Leveling your gang is full of choices that can result in free overwatch and cheap shooting if you set up correctly with Orlock for example.
+Story is fun and felt like it was accurate to the lore, while allowing the gang members to be people rather than just braindead we fight cause were different.
+Difficulty options are there for how you want play.
+ Game speed is a problem for some however Watching what the opponent does allows for better tactical choices. People think AI turn skip or speed up is needed but you would miss important details as you will fight the same gangs 3+ times in a row that level and develop based on your match. The AI thinks in real time so a speed up would make turns pretty much just as long with faster animations. I personally enjoy the longer engagements and you can save and leave in the middle if you dont have enough time for a full fight.
+Customization is really good. You could really make each ganger unique and each gang unique as well.
-Bugs are somewhat often however they are easy to fix by loading your inventory or save and exit to menu and continue.
-Crashes Ive had 2 in my 28 hours so far. Annoying but it autosaves often so ive never lost anything because of it.
+Devs have confirmed plans to support the game in the future on Twitter.

Overall there is alot more pluses than minuses. Some people are making a bigger deal of the small things than needed or are upset its not a exact copy of the tabletop game with perfect AI.

Infinite stacking of items allows you to make fun and ridiculous builds without ever truly being immortal

2000 hours on ps4, pc with mods makes it better, though mods are not supported by devs. plenty to do for hours.
