With the "f2p" option, EVE has become easier than ever to get into ... but remains one of the most challenging and complex games on PC once you start trying to dig a little beneath the surface.

Edit - With the upcoming changes to "Alpha"status, EVE will become even better for f2p players, and possibly open up more opportunities for paying players for either allies or targets.
