It's free, open source, it's a tried and true method of screen recording or streaming. And now it's been brought to steam. I Actually like this A LOT more than the standalone version. It auto updates using steam so the next time you open it to record or stream you don't get interrupted with a popup saying something about a update AND it is right there after a Windows reinstall so all you have to do is just install it with your other games and software. I wish more software would put their stuff on steam too. I'd love to see Davinci Resolve on here as well as some other piece of software. But that probably won't happen but this is a start to that I would imagine. Overall 10/10 for OBS in general been using it for years and years. By the way if this uses Steam Cloud that would be the ultimate game changer. Always have to backup profiles before a Windows reinstall.
