I have played since the beta. Besides a few balance changes the game has been getting progressively worse due to, in my opinion, trying to make the game more competitive instead of fun. Bring back 6v6, make goofy heroes viable, throw the bot push gamemode in the garbage, bring back 2cp. Stop listening to redditors whining. Ignore the hooknose tribe telling you to push battlepasses and 20$ for a single skin and bring back the old lootboxes.

Do not bother unless you are a big fan of RPing as a goody two shoes. If you do decide to try and be a burgler and break into houses at night to steal things to sell guards will insta lock onto you and ask to search you as soon as you take one step out onto the road out of the city. Or if you try instead to be a badass knight in shining armor you will be beat to death by a group of peasants who catch you walking down the road because the combat system in this game is AWFUL. Don't even just take my word for it. google one thing about this game and there will be dozens of complaints about how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the fighting is. after you learn how it works 1v1's become even a little fun, but god forbid you need to take on more than one combatant. I hope the sequel is dead on the water.

Since rage reviewing this dog water I've put in maybe 20 more hours. The story is so good it almost makes me forget about the combat system. I have even got good at 1v1 combat and I'll say its actually enjoyable. Very good even, and yet it still gets ruined any time it goes to more than 1v1. I actually cannot believe how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they made the combat STILL. I WANT TO ENJOY THIS GAME BUT THE GROUP COMBAT IS SO TERRIBLE IT RUINS IT.

Few more hours into it after adding a few combat mods that make it bearable. still a bad game if it needs to be fixed by the community.

They fixed the servers. Get the ♥♥♥♥ in here we need more bodies against the robot menace

The only negatives I have about the game is I'm dumb and there's too many plot lines to follow.

One of few good games on VR that aren't gimmicky.

Was my review before 1.0 came out. Now with the full story mode I can only say get this game. just finished the first boss fight and can say this is a very good contender for best VR game out right now at all.

Easily better than the first. I wish you interacted with volitiles more often.

The games fun

Closest to VR gmod you can get. TTT, Prop Hunt, Jailbreak, and more all in vr. Dev seems like a cool guy. Commutnity showed interest in having COD Zombies maps, so He added Ai support and skins to support zombies. Battlefield Type Rush maps set in world war 2 and D-Day become popular and he adds new world war 2 maps and guns to support.

You can do anything. From having a colony of psychopaths wearing cowboy hats and dusters out of human skin, to a ooga booga tribe hitting others with clubs, to having medieval knights with psychic powers, to my personal favorite. A colony making loads of silver from human trafficking, illegal organ harvesting, and drug synthesis, basically a cartel. And the best part is all of that is VANILLA.
Fix what you don't like about this game with mods. I have 7 pages of mods that really don't add anything that new or crazy at all. Literally one of the most dedicated and popular mods and modding teams making mods for this game is called "Vanilla Expanded", and the point of the mods are to add as much to the game as they can but at the same time making it seem like it was there all along.

10/10 vanilla game 15/10 modded to your taste.
