tl;dr: You'll die a lot, you'll love it, and you'll listen to a great score while you do. Worth full price.

This game suprised me. I thought it was going to be good, but I had no idea how much I would enjoy it. The game itself is wonderfully polished and plays very well. It took a little while to understand how everything worked (the drift system in particular) but I enjoyed the challenge.

The upgrades are all valuable and make sense. The enemies (even the weakest of which) can present an interesting challenge at times. You're going to die a lot, it's that kind of game. You're going to die through trial/error and through underestimating enemies. Eventually you find yourself mastering skills and kicking butt!

The soundtrack is FANTASTIC. I listen to it at work, in the car, and of course playing the game.

The Dev is very involved in this game. I'm extreemly happy that he listened to the community and added a few features including 60FPS mode and a boss rush. Honestly the 60 FPS mode alone makes me want to replay the game.

This is one of the few games I've purchased that I didn't regret the price. I was very satisfied and I can't wait to play it again.

10/10

The magic is gone.
I think I paid $10 for this. And well parts of the game were worth it.

By the end of the game I just wanted it over. I didn't even care any more.
You have to work so hard for the "good" ending and it's not even worth it in the end.

It's worth a playthrough if you liked the first Metro. But it just doesn't have that spark any more.

:( 5/10 Worth maybe $7?

Also why the hell did I have to pay for Ranger mode? Stuff like that makes people pirate games.

Got 10 minutes in and NOPED all the way to the quit button. 10/10 would not play again because I am a frady cat.

It's more of the same with more bugs.
tl;dr: I paid $30, it’s worth $10.
Now you might think more of the same would be a good thing, but sadly it's just stale.
I was all aboard the hype train for this, I had faith that WB could put together a decent game, I mean how could they mess it up?

1) It's incredibly short. That being said I didn't run around getting all the Riddler boxes to beat him up for a third time. But the main story is considerably shorter than that of Arkham City, and it ends sort of abruptly. (Yes, yes you can continue playing after you finish the story to get the Riddler stuff.)

2) The writing seems half-assed. The assassins that were hired to kill Batman, which I might add were the main marketing point for the game made up less than an hour of the game. The concept of surviving the assassins in one night sounded appealing, the actual execution was boring and short. It's almost the same issues the Batman films ran into all those years ago, when you have too many interesting characters there just isn't time for everyone.

3) The game is Riddled (heh, pun) with bugs. From the buggy controls to the performance issues, all the way to that inescapable Riddler room that you actually had to fast-travel your way out of. I played for 3/4 of this game on the highest settings with a decently high-end rig (i7, 16GB, HD 7970). I had performance hits here and there, but as soon as I got to Blackgate the game became unplayable, and for no reason in particular. Looking at performance monitors, my card was itting at 80% usage, my i7 was barely being touched and yet I was struggling to get 14 fps. I had to look online for community fixes. Though these are known issues, they have yet to be fixed.

4) Yes the map is roughly "double" the size of Arkham city, but there were sections of the map that I barely explored because there wasn't a need. It was big just for the sake of being big.

5) While the boss-fights in the Batman series have never been anything special (with the exception of Mr. Freeze) the fights in this game are spectacularly vanilla. I was looking forward to the Deathstroke fight, and it was over in seconds, more of a chore than a challenge.

6) The gadgets are a joke. The “glue grenade” is a clone of Arkham City’s “freeze grenade” with a new name but all the exact same functionality.
For some reason there is stun grenade… thing that you’ll probably forget that you have because it’s less effective than any of your other gadgets.

There is more, but you get the idea. With as little actual story was in this game it could have done as an expansion to Arkham City or been incorporated into whatever the next Batman game that Rocksteady is working on all hush-hush.

**I must say though that this game as a whole was disappointing the one part I was surprised by was the voice acting. I wasn't sure of their decision to swap in new voice actors for that "younger" sound. While neither of the main characters sounded particularly younger they did do a damn fine job of bringing the characters to life.

Solid game. It really surprised me. It had a good balance of the linear story and adventure “open world” treasure hunting. It was pretty entertaining, a great reboot. I got it for free, but I would have paid $30 for it.

One of the most depressing games I've ever played, but I can't stop. There is more choice and consequences in this game than in Mass Effect, more story too.

This is the kind of game I've come to expect from Ubisoft. It was fun, there was a lot to do, and the story kept things very interesting. I really enjoyed the voice acting. Also the open-world is just huge. All of this and I didn't have the oppertunity go get bored like I did with the second Far Cry.

Pretty interesting followup in the Bioshock series. It does hit a bit of a lul in the middle, but the combat is solid, and the story keeps things interesting. I highly recomend higher difficulties though.

FANTASTIC story. Pretty decent shooter. Just make sure you have something happy to chase this game with. I warned you. Would buy again at $30!
