Do I like the game? Yes I do!
Am I biased towards the game? probably.
Why are you biased towards the game? I have a tattoo of Hollow Knight on my arm...

Just get the game and get lost in the world of Hollow Knight, die over and over, get better and kick ass.
If you enjoy Metroidvania games in ANY way, give it a go, you won't regret it.
