Early Access Review
ΔV: Rings of Saturn is a space mining game where you hop around the rings of Saturn, gathering ore to sell, upgrade and tune your ship, buy other ships, and follow questlines of the crew members that you hire.

I really love how the game accurately models the physics of flying your ship. Internally, there are many tracked significant statistics of your ship that impact how it moves (or doesn't!). Power and heat generation and balance, reaction wheel RPM, amount of propellant mass. The cargo you carry impacts your center of mass and your moment of inertia and the free chunks jostle around your bay when performing accelerations. If you aren't careful, a deceleration will spew forth the contents of your cargo bay!

The upgrades to your ship(s) are meaningful and they aren't always direct upgrades. A mineral processing unit might offer the fastest and most efficient processing of mineral chunks, but it has an opening that can become jammed and it doesn't offer any recycling of H20 remass to fill your propellant reserves.

I think the tutorial does a good job of introducing your to the game and how it works. Being based on real physics, a lot of it is quite intuitive. For the rest, I've found a good community in the discord, which I would greatly recommend!
The developer (Koder) is very dedicated and is always on the discord looking at recommendations, bug reports, and is constantly releasing experimental versions alongside nearly weekly stable releases.

If I have to critique something, it's that story progress can feel limited / slow at times. I've got over 50 hours in the game (demo time included) and I've successfully completed one storyline. I know you can also align yourself with pirates / anarchists or side with the defacto police force of the rings, The Vilcy, and get a bounty hunting license. But not yet for me.

If an accurate physics sim space mining game under constant update from the developer sounds neat to you, I'd encourage you to check it out. There's a demo too!

^ This demo allows you to play the entirety of the game too!
