I can't not speak highly enough for the originality and the promise of this game and the immediate fun of it. There is alot of unfinished garbage seemingly thrown together in VR to make a quick buck. This ain't one of those games. Give it 15 minutes and you'll immediately see what I mean.

The first time I booted it up, I had a smile on my face for a good 10 minutes. The overworld is huge and fun to explore. Just that alone is worth the current asking price.

The recent update makes the overworld huge and even more fun to explore.

Also, if you have a friend or two with VR or can form a group online, that's where the real fun begins. It's just a great relaxing game. All it needs is a bit more structure.

The mechanics are brilliant and very, very well executed. Give it a chance. You'll likely be very surprised.

Things I've love to see:

1. A trick mode that starts a timer and you can see who can get the most collective air time in a certain amount of time.
2. An "elimination" mode, especially if they could add some power ups like Twisted Metal or Mario Kart.
3. A button/menu option to automatically teleport to the start of the current race.

Overall, though this is an excellent start.

Rec Room is one of the most polished and fully featured free to play multiplayer games I've ever played, VR or non-VR. It's constantly updated with new features and game play modes and it's 100% free.

One of the best VR experiences you can have. Highly recommended.

Fallout VR is a a solid testament to the difference VR makes. You notice small details you would never notice in the flat screen version. Common fetch quests and world traversal feels a lot more dangerous and immersive. It cannot be overstated how much difference it makes being inside the world of Fallout, all around you, rather than staring at it on a screen.

Most importantly the developers spent their time coming up with a really good control scheme that makes navigating all the mechanics and menus really snappy. Quick saves are a button press away. Throwing grenades just simply requires holding down the grip buttons and then tossing them. Melee enemies by smacking them with the butt of your gun. Mechanically it is an extremely well designed conversion.

In terms of performance, this is a pretty demanding game and it may take some tweaking to get it running smoothly, but it is nothing a few forum thread visits can't help you solve in a matter of minutes.

Overall one of the best experiences in VR available and one of my favorite games of the year.

Necropolis is a great blend of rogue-like mechanics with simplified Dark Souls style gameplay. The randomized dungeon design is suprisingly good and the game is the right level of demanding to keep you on your toes without being so punishing that it feels futile. The multiplayer implimentation is fantastic. Extremely easy drop in and drop out play, runs very smoothly, and the game is even better with friends. And most importantly, it's cleverly balanced where you really need to be careful and work in teams due to friendly fire damage being a real concern.

Unfortunately some sort of internet drama seems to have plagued this games' reviews page with people complaining about unfufilled Kickstarter promises or weighing the finished game's value propositions negatively. I can't speak to any of that. I can only speak to the game on offer and what I played. Currently this game is on sale for $4.50. I paid over double that and easily think it' s worth significantly more. Highly recommended for anyone who likes Dark Souls style games or wants to dip their toe in to a game with similar but less overwhelming mechanics. Especially recommended if you have a friend or two (or three!) to take along with you. The game only gets better in coop. 5/5

Nier: Automata is a a beautiful game of rare depth and idiosyncrasies. While not the most technically accomplished--it sometimes looks like a much older game in terms of low quality art assets--it's washed out color pallet, sun drenched ruins and choir based sound track establish a world of echoes, one in tandem with the faded past it's narrative explores.

The story purports to be about a distant future when humanity is on the verge of extinction and has created andriods to protect its future. The games main protagonists (2B and 9S) are andriods tasked with this mission, but in actuality that is only the set up and not at all what the actual narrative is about. The game continually pulls the rug out from under the player in terms of what they think they know, but it does so in a way that gives new insight and meaning into what has come before, shifting perspectives--both literally and metaphorically--in a way that enriches and complicates rather than erases the knowledge the player has previously gained. If that sounds incredibly vague it is because I'm hesitant to spoil or telegraph the reveals.

At times it's anime stylizings almost overwhelm it's narrative, but they are kept in check by the understated themes it inhabits. It explores weighty topics of consciousness, the search for the definition and purpose of God, what it means to be human, and the struggle to find and/or make meaning. But more importantly its take aways on these topics aren't cheap or cliche, or even always uplifting or complete, but they are well earned. At times the game seems very self serious steeped in it's own lore. At other times it is playfully flippant or engages in meta-humor, but it all works together to create what is one of the most thought provoking and original JRPGs I have ever played. Highest recommendation. 5/5

This is a great game for co-op. If you have a friend or two (or five!) with VR, or even if you have a non-VR friend that is willing to play it with you, I can't recommend it higher. For the price, it is a great time hanging out with friend and solving puzzles.

It's cheaper than a fast food combo and literally about a fifth of the price of an actul escape the room experience. It's a great value for the cash with some really nice looking environments and some great clever puzzles. The entire experience took us almost two hours, and there is more DLC coming. For under $6 a great value.

The developers have even integrated an optional hint system that unlocks new hints that you can view after a certain amount of time, which is great if you get stuck and don't want to let the experience drag on.

One minor recommendatino to the devs and for playres: increase the default graphics settings before starting. We were almost finished with the game before we discovered you can increase the fidelity making it far easier to read all the clues (not to mention enjoy the environment). The standard setting should be at least medium or high, but it defaults to the lowest settings making everything look extremely blurry.

Looking forward to the DLC!

Since developing single player obvious means bot AI, I really really hope they port this back to the multiplayer and that's what this update was alluding to.

It would be AWESOME to be able to comp stomp bots with your friends in matches, or even better yet a ladder tournament, for example.

Battlezone is easily one of my favorite Vr titles and it is also one of the most fleshed out VR games available. There's nothing "indie" or "early access" about it. It is polished, professionally designed, and has a complete campaign with hours and hours of content.

Its difficulty forces cooporation and there is a decent variety in the missions and events. It's less a traditional tank game and more of a 4 player coop rogue like with a retro 90's arcade tank aesthetic. Your group will have to make narrative choices with consequences at certain points. You have to carefully pick which areas to progress to on the map and work together to stay alive.

Regarding the potential motion sickness, in my experience the game does take a bit of time to adjust to it, but it is nothing severe. If you feel "off" after playing for a bit, just take a break and come back. My first sessions (on PSVR) I had this issue, and then again after not playing it of ra while when I played it on Vive. But after a sessions or two, I was able to play long periods of time without any issue. Just don't push it to hard and you'll adjust fine.

So I'm updating this review because I've now put almost 25 hours into this game. Yes 25 hours. In one week. This more than anything else I can say is a testament to how good Smashbox arena is, but let me elaborate more anyway.

There are a lot of VR games that are "wow" experiences. There are currently still very few "just one more game and it's 1AM" experiences. Smashbox Arena is this kind of game.

What makes this game work so well is simply the amount of careful design balance that has been applied to the level design and the power ups and the ways the different power ups play off one another. There are a lot of subtlies and nuances to the mechanics that gradually become more apparent the more you play and the more you talk to other players. It's an incredibly easy game to pick up and start having fun with, but it remains fun because it's so well design that winning and losing isn't just simply a matter of reflexes. It is often a matter of strategy and at any given moment you have a plethora of options on how you approach a given scenario.

I know a lot of VR players have become rightly cynical about half finished games, cash grabs, and over hyped experiences. A lot of even the bigger titles (like Arizona Sunshine) wouldn't really hold up as non-VR games, but they are championed because hey at least there is some substance. This game is not one of those games. This game is the Rocket League of VR games; it is a similar indie Cinderella story. This isn't jsut my favorite VR game this year. It may well be my favorite game this year period.

This is fantastic game of Table Tennis. After the recent updates the online play is now near perfect. The devs have put a lot of work into this game and it shows.
