An incredibly striking and gut-wrenching look at the society in which we exist. A literary work that deserves creedence and praise for its honesty in a time when we seem to be losing grasp on the truth. I really could not recommend this enough to anybody unafraid to get an alternative perspective on the current state of the economy and truth. I review games on Youtube, but ocassionally break to do full-on critical analyses of games when they deserve the thought and effort and this one does. If you already played it, I discuss some of the important themes and give more thoughts in the video below.

Event[0] is a short experimental game about interacting with a rogue AI to try to make it back to earth. Along the way the player comes to realize there's more than meets the eye to this AI. Event[0] does a fine job of this, although the results are never incredible. This is a good exercise in creative game development, but poor endings and problematic AI interaction really hold this one back. Fortunately the positives of Event[0] largely outweigh the negatives so I gave it some time for a video review. Check that out for more on the game.

Reigns is a subtle little piece of genius in a world where games are getting more and more complex. Taking a "tinder-like" yes or no approach to problem solving initially seems like a negative quality, but is in fact the greatest strength of Reigns. Reigns challenges you to memorize, hypothesize, and predict in ways many games don't. On top of that, there is a brilliant sense of humor and plenty of well-written dialogue which pull everything together. And at $2.99, why not give it a try.

Sometimes you just want to sit in from of a pc while sitting in front of your PC. If you're an idiot like me, I'd bargain this is the game for you. Blendo is back with their masterful pacing and obtuse storytelling, and even now comes with a video game packed inside.

Inventive and creative, Quadrilateral Cowboy is a very good game. No single mechanic is ever exhausted and QC captures a feeling in a way most games can't. You'll walk away from Quadrilateral Cowboy feeling like a true hacker, even if all security systems in this universe are extremely rudimentary.

A few twists and turns here and there keep things fresh and make QC a must-play for fans of indie games.

Not without its flaws though, there are definitely plenty of engine issues with Quadrilateral Cowboy. I found myself clipping through environments, stuck in walls, and dealing with sloppy transitions regularly. An overall clunky interface can also be a bear on the experience.

Luckily its flaws don't hold it back too much and there's plenty here to like.

A really good action RPG. But is it a great souls game? Kind of. But I really had issue with some of the design choices. And i wonder if this is a fitting end to the souls series, considering it is so far as a comparison to the rest of the souls games. I try to parse it out in a video review, but I think I missed the biggest issue. Dark Souls 3 is an action RPG. Dark Souls is a horror game with RPG elements, I'd love to hear if you agree. Because I don' know yet. Overall, a great game, but not nearly as good as the other games in the series.

Hyper Light Drifter is a brilliant action rpg. As well as one of the most difficult games to come out this year. If you're a Zelda fan, souls fan, or retro game fan. I highly recommend this. You can see my video review below
