For obvious reasons, the game isn't perfect. But then, it isn't finished either.
There's the usual instabilities and imbalances that come with games early in early-access, but the potential is readily apparent. A bit lacking in the optimization, but the devs are working on that and so many other aspects.

Even better, the developers engage with the community and listen to them when it comes to desired features.

At this stage of development, our recommendation is to play a bit, then wait a while and play again, rather than constantly starting games as new small patches are released.

Still, it is a highly engaging game, worth sinking a decent number of hours into.

We look forward to seeing what it will be in a few months and in a couple of years.

Might not be the most intricate game graphically or mechanically... but it allows you to build as you see fit, and with the right mod(s) isn't nearly as punishing as the vanilla version can be.
Very nice to play cooperatively in.

Pretty decent game, with a great variety when it comes to character creation. Too many RPGs don't permit you to truly play evil characters without harshly punishing you for it.

Not a perfect game, but pretty enjoyable. Unlike many other games, it is feasible to achieve all the achievements.

The addition of Prelude and Hellas & Elysium greatly improved the game.

Sufficiently humorous with functional co-op support, something there is far too few games with these days.

It is an excellent post-apocalyptic game that reveals more and more of why its world makes a certain amount of sense even with the limited diversity in flora and fauna that would make many other games completely bereft of sense. 95 hours of play and not yet done with the whole game.

It isn't perfect, but it is a very entertaining dungeon builder. The fact that trap systems actually require planning to work well is neat, especially when you see the results from doing it right. After all, who doesn't want to blow an agent (or minion) into an icer, then bounce the ice block off a couple of pinball bumpers before it lands in the shark tank, right?

The addition of Apperture Science Testing Chambers and other free expansions made it even more fun.

Well, it was rather enjoyable, with extensive story that was well worth the wait.
Finally a game that doesn't punish you for doing evil without also requiring you to be the villain.

Well, It is obviously not finished yet... but then, they've never claimed otherwise.

however, it shows great promise and we can hardly wait to see how well they implement the D&D 5e rules into a computer game system. Plus, there's so much story we want to explore...

Who doesn't want conveyor spaghetti? No one, that is!

The game is fun alone, but even more fun when playing with someone else. Sure, you might run out of biofuel early on... but how is that a problem, when you can build a space elevator before you figure out how to burn coal, let alone craft steel?

Innumerable Quality-of-Life improvements from Borderlands 2 / Presequel. Interesting new story, new worlds, new guns, new vehicle system, new loot, new mechanics, new enemies to kill, and so on. Also new loot.
