Boring open world and instanced content is dull and unrewarding. PSO2 died for this.

Slayer is fun, I guess.

It might be the worst Dark Souls but it's still a very good game.

Screw the new Iron Keep though.

HEY! C'MERE!

Abe's Exoddus is a sequel to the Abe's Oddysee. After the destruction of RuptureFarms, the Mudokon hero Abe receives a vision that tells him to stop the mean Glukkons from mining up Mudokon bones in Necrum, a Mudokon gravesite.

Compared to Oddysee, Abe's Exoddus is a long game (two discs on PS1!). The basic mechanics are the same but improved for better playability. The main object in the game is to get through dangerous obstacles while using GameSpeak, a means of communication, to guide Mudokon slaves to Bird Portals and setting them free. To make things more tricky, some Mudokons may be depressed, angry or high from laughing gas. Abe also has an ability to mind control enemies that he can use to reach areas he cannot.

Like in Oddysee, Abe and his Mudokon friends die from 1 hit. Luckily, the game has a quicksave function. Just don't use it willy nilly or you might quicksave yourself into a death loop.

Exoddus is an old game and it shows. The resolution is somewhat tolerable and during the cgi cutscenes you can count the pixels with your hands. The game also does not support the controllers. Fortunately the game works very well with a keyboard and you can set up keybinds to your liking but if you really must use a controller, you'll have to fiddle around to get it working.

Summary: Even though it's old, Abe's Exoddus is an excellent and fairly difficult puzzle platformer. If you liked the Abe's Oddysee, you'll absolutely positively love this one. And like the SoulStorm Brew, it is VERY addicting.

So don't think, BUY!

C'MON, DEW IT!

An Elder Scrolls game for a patient player. If you thought Oblivion and Skyrim were too dumbed down, consider this one. The game expects the player to talk to the citizens of Morrowind and read their journal as the game won't have any quest markers or direct instructions. The game offers a lot of lore about the Morrowind and its cultures and politics.

Combat can take some getting used to. Instead of direct hits of Oblivion and Skyrim, attacks in Morrowind are determined by stats and rolls and they can miss (fortunately same applies to the enemy). Study your stats, use the weapons you can use, keep that Fatigue full and you're golden.

The only big minus for this game are the Cliff Racers. You'll know why.
