"I don't feel it benefits anyone but myself in difficult moments to act dumb. If anything, I see it as being condescending by automatically assuming my peers are incapable of understanding, when usually they just aren't that interested in the topics and therefore haven't sought the knowledge. Another disservice if you keep your knowledge to yourself for fear of upsetting people; they may miss out on something super interesting or insightful that makes them want to seek more. Of course, it's still best to choose your moments; trying to engage someone in an intellectual conversation when they're mid emotional response usually leads to nothing productive"
