This game is a giant buggy mess with an awful story. Just buy borderlands 2 it has more content costs almost nothing on sale and has a much better story.

This is really fun but if you don't like pvp boy will you be upset.

Not fun spending an hour doing an event then 20 mins putting cargo on a ship then getting sunk 5 secs later with nothing to show for it. Literal waste of time with zero compensation not something I would really want to put any more time into outside of boosted events. The party system for matching crews is awful and outside of the official discord you are mostly matched with awful crews who just sit around and never actually sail or do anything.

Early access day 0 review. So far this game is really fun and just a much better version of the previous game.
Kelvin is great addition and he builds,gathers, and gets in just enough trouble to be fun but not require baby sitting any survival game without a kelvin equivalent in the future is a bad survival game. If you are reading this right now and are making a survival game STEAL kelvin that is the best feature of the game(ark,valheim,conan, ect please steal this man for your games). There is also a FOUR ARMED lady mutant companion who can use all 4 arms to hold guns and mess dudes up(10/10).

This game also needs some performance patches to buff out the frame rate I will update the review after a week or so to see whats coming and what is getting fixed. Performance right now is ok but just under good enough to be playable and is more so the reasoning for the early access tag then anything else as far as I am concerned. The is a very cpu heavy game and needs some tweaks to balance out the load. If your cpu is a
mid range one or more then 3 or 4 years old you will probably maybe kinda sort of have a bad time until that gets fixed.

Still no fixes for the cpu load issue and after a longer play session the game starts to become almost unplayable at camp. They REALLY NEED TO FIX THIS.

I loved this game and really turned around on the combat system. I thought it was awful at first but once I trained with Captain Bernard and learned how clinching and combat REALLY worked I realized just how fun combat can be. The power progression and story world building is THE thing to play this game for. I've never seen a progression system as great as this does it, you go from being a weak nobody who cant swing a sword to a tin can killing machine who can 1v5 bandits all day long. I love the setting,I love the story, and I really love the world and the codex that explains even the most minute parts of early European history, It's like someone made a history channel documentary from the 90's into a first person souls games mixed with the better parts of early elder scrolls game. I dig this game it's 10/10 on a bad day.


The only bad part is the save system which only lets you save by either sleeping in an owned or rented bed or using savior snaps. If you know where to buy and loot it it's not that bad but I did lose what amounts to about two hours or so of game play time from not saving before a massive bandit attack on the road. It was honestly not a big deal once I had the gold and a horse to travel around and buy more, I always had at least 5 on me at any given moment and they give you a good bit to start out with. Not a deal breaker for me but it does piss off a lot of people.

The music and world are alright but the combat system is REALLY awful. The narrow corridors in dungeons are not fun to navigate solo and just leads to your strikes not hitting enemies and to a quick death. Which leads to having to walk another 20 min to get your stuff back only to die from the same six skeletons. The progression system is way too slow and chasing deer for half an hour by yourself to upgrade a piece of equipment is not fun either. I stopped playing before copper tier because screw raiding 5 barrows and only finding 1 core for a copper furnace. The Food system is unique but overall just a pain in the ass to deal with since that is where a good bit of your power comes from. I don't like having to organize and dedicate two rooms just to store food because the size of storage boxes is also way way too small. I DO NOT want 6 chests to store the same stuff when they could make one chest hold six times the stuff it's dumb. I only played this solo and it's honestly the least fun survival game out there. This is probably more fun with friends but it's literal cancer on roller skates solo.

The warning on the front page was half right never felt any tension just lots of frustration running 20 real mins back to where I died only to find out a member of my own faction looted my stuff. Literal walking simulator on uneven mine craft terrain.

The great grand daddy of TSRPG's like FFT comes home to roost and the pc port and translation is actually good this time. If you love Final fantasy tactics then just buy this right away you won't be disappointed. If you played this before or are on the fence then wait for a sale because 50$ is kinda steep even if they put a lot of production work into voice acting and updating art assets. The new features are nice like the chariot time rollback that lets you redo some turns if you messed positioning up or someone got a lucky crit and killed off an npc or monster unit you wanted to recruit. The only new feature that is not so great is the unity level which caps the entire party's lvl's so you cant face roll certain story fights. Random battles have also been replaced with a "training" fight at each map point. You cant get loot from these but your units also cant die here either they just don't get exp for that fight if they go down. Palace of the dead is in this release as well with the full 1000 floors of hell.

All in all square did a great job for once in their miserable existence with this release and unlike triangle strategy the keyboard and mouse controls don't suck, and there is also no performance hits because this released without denuvo which was worth the 50$ right there. If this does well I REALLY hope they put a FFT WoL remaster on steam!! Good job Square now go do parasite eve and war of the lions remasters!!

Pretty fun smash bros like game with a decent selection of characters. It's not pay to win and you can pretty much earn any character you want in like an hour of play. I've played maybe a solid 2 hours and was able to earn 2 characters in that time which is nuts for a free to play game. You can also just play co op against bots if you REALLY wanted to and earn all the same stuff. The only issue I have is a personal preference issue with some of the roster choices(Why steven universe?? So many better options like wtf man) but other then that no real issues with the game. It's just big dumb cartoon fun with smash thrown in so 10/10.
