Good old-school isometric RPG, in a fun setting. Probably the best of the trilogy storywise.

I still recommand picking Shadowrun Returns first, just so you don't get to it afterwards and don't like it because the mechanics are simpler and the story more linear than in Dragonfall.

There's a lot of reviews out there already, so I'll just say it's the only game about war everybody SHOULD play, at least once. This is what war is about, not pretty headshots and great ideas and running around like a tool shooting at everything that moves while feeling invincible. War is about actual real people dying, whether they're soldiers or not, and this game makes a good job of portraying it.

It could be longer, it could be deeper, but as it is it's a good game and well worth the price, if only to show that gamers are ready for the medium to grow a little more mature. It's sorely needed.

Fetch quests, fetch quests everywhere! Solid atmosphere and story, and I still recommend buying it if only to get the whole story before you play The Witcher 2 and 3 or support CD Projekt Red, but this was their first RPG and it shows. They made tremendous progress between this one and The Witcher 2.

An animated comic with QTE and a few choices, but the story and atmosphere are pretty good and the game sucks you in. Count around 6-8 hours to reach the end of the story, and you'll need to play it at least twice to make differents choices and get all achievements if you care about that sort of things.

Tracts of land need plowing.

It's just like Fallout 3, only better and with a story.

Good little survival game. The design is excellent in a Tim Burton kind of way, the animations funny, the gameplay solid, and it's challenging without being arbitrary frustating. Well worth the cheap price.

And it's the first survival game that doesn't look like it's been crapped out by a Rubik's Cube, so there's that too.

One of the best story-driven RPG ever. Riveting story, crucifying choices with real and important consequences, incredible atmosphere, doesn't shy away of mature themes whether political or sexual, and the graphics are simply stunning, by far the best for RPGs when it came out. The developers really respect their customers too: great stuff added for free, no DRM or DLC shenanigans, nothing but goodness.

There's quite a steep learning curve for the combat, though. Some people never get it and whine about the controls being clunky or whatnot, but it's just not true. Simply, you have to play the game by its rules. There's a rythm and a logic to combat, you need to pay attention and think about what you're doing, preferably before you do it. If that's hard for you and you're just looking for a mindless clickfest, stay away from this game. If you like tactical thinking and experimenting, dive in. You won't regret it. :-)
