This game is amazing and Arrowhead Game Studios put a lot of heart into it. Sony, however, is continuing the trend of a greedy corporation milking everything down to the last drop. Don't let them win.

My first impression of the game is a solid tactical tabletop-esque game with a few rough edges that could be fixed with some QOL updates. The factions feel varied and unique, the combat is difficult and a bit punishing but designed to test you and encourage the loop of Die, Reforge, Fight again. The War is Eternal. The base price may seem a bit wary to some, understandably, but most fans of Warhammer, especially Fantasy/AoS, will enjoy it. The voice acting is nice, the units and environments look great, and the lore is quite good. Hopefully they'll listen to some feedback on some things like making stats simpler to understand (Though you can pick up on which one is damage, health, armor, etc.) and the turn timers. All and All it's a good game and was definitely made with love for the franchise and the developer Gasket Games did a good job for their first time.

This game is unequivocally one of the best tactical party RPG's you can get right now, and it's still being worked on. The playtime ignores the dozens of hours I've enjoyed this game away from the internet so please take that into account.

Trials of Fire is a randomized series of quests you take with a party of varying, unlockable classes that have different synergies between each other. There's a series of narrative quests with their own set bosses and story beats, with randomized worlds, enemies, item drops, and other encounters. This system works because you know in each of these what to be preparing for. Be it an elemental monster, a Dragon, or a God. The path there is different every time but you'll be facing the same big baddies. This is not the case in the "Main Mode"

Random Runs are where the game shines. Everything is random, though within the boundaries you set primarily in length. You'll be given a random world, random destinations, bosses, loot. Things that will keep you from relaxing but keep you interested for the entire run.

The combat is based around cards. Each character has a specific set of cards, and the items you find will add more. Combat revolves around knowing which cards to play, which to save, and which to build around. Think Slay the Spire but with battle placement.

The game is amazing and is being constantly updated and tweaked and is clearly a labor of love from the developers who listen to the players well. I can't recommend it enough.

This game is a great example of what it means to stick with something. The game's rocky launch was only heightened by the quiet developers. But they turned it around in an astonishing way. Every time I think they're finally going to move on they drop yet another large update to show they are committed. No game should get away with being abandoned after this. The people at Hello Games received hate and death threats for the initial release version of this game, but they didn't let that stop them. You can't go wrong with getting this game and showing the devs some love for the blood, sweat, and tears they put in.

Rage 2 is a well meaning but unrefined follow up to the its middle of the road predecessor. The core gameplay is addictive, fun, and the reason you would shell out any kind of money for the game. The vehicle combat isn't atrocious, just rather lackluster when compared to the focus of the gameplay of on foot gun battles. Liked Doom (2016)? You'll like the combat. The main issue with this game is Bugs, which there are plenty of, and the wide but shallow lake feeling. To address the bugs, they are plentiful. Audio issues are the biggest problem but nothing in my experience has lasted longer than a simple restart. The story is... there. It serves as a framework, has some more humor and grittiness than the original, but this is the weaker of the two aspects by a wide margin. I believe some more bug patches and QOL additions would serve to make the game much better. Calling your car without going through 3 different menu screens, fast travel to more than just the few scant outposts, reduce the tedious steps to get at your perks and upgrades. All and All the game is a fun mess that was built around the idea of being a fun shooter. It succeeds, but will need some work to elevate itself to the standards to be expected from such well renowned developers. Hopefully their roadmap stretches into the future a bit more to stabilize the game. For now, pick it up on sale if you enjoyed the first game or just need a good singleplayer shooter to dive into.

Vlad the Impaler stabbed Zeus while a bunch of cheerleaders motivated him to stab faster. 10/10 would kill the Greek Gods again.

Welcome to NEO Scavenger, prepare to Die! Death is to be expected. You will die a lot, not that this is bad persay. The game is based around survival so dying is going to happen. What this game fails to do is make dying, better. The screen after you die whether from combat, enviornment, or neglecting your characters, is just a screen. You get to see how long in-game you survived. Quite frankly I love the game. The absolute survival based gameplay is my biggest reason to recommend it. Some people I guarantee will overlook it for its Fallout 1 esk top down view and roughly 9-bit graphics. But the game has a lot more depth under the top layer. The combat system leads a little to be craved and the "perks" could be greater in usefulness/usability. But if you want a survival game that will constantly make you feel like you'll die rather than finding out what to do once and mastering it, this is the game for you.
