Just as great as Automata. Combat is a bit clunkier, easier to spam through, and the few enemies types get boring, but oh well, older game issues.
The story is mind-blowing, or well, it would be, if I hadn't already played Automata, which . . . has . . . basically the same twist?
Like, whichever you play first is going to kinda spoiler the other:
Oh no, your actually not a human: Everything you are fighting for is a sham.
While Automata is: Oh no, there are no humans: Everything you are fighting for is a sham.
Anyway, if you intend on playing both, play this first, if your not sure just go play Automata. Where Replicant *really* shines is in marrying the gap between Nier and Drakengard, for those who are paying attention to the bigger story. Going from Dragons & Magic directly to Automata's Tech and No Magic? is not quite the cleanest jump to make, except **WAIT** the red orbs that the robots fire in Automata *are* magic? Dragon magic. Maybe. The same red magic you use in Replicant? Who knows.
Also, I find it funny now after having played Replicant that the Pod Programs in Automata are just the devs reusing content from the Sealed Verses from Replicate, lol. They are literally copy pasted, the same abilities.

Played for a while as a lightning bolt. Got tired of that and played as a deer-man. Then I found a berserker cat, and that was fun until I got a fairy. Imma fairy now. Life is good. I make explosions.
Do you wanna make explosions too, while you are flying around as a fairy, swooping under genetic mutants and slashing their legs out from under them?

Then play Warframe.

Words, for once, fail me, when it comes to DDLC. It is truely an game one has to experiance! I rarely write reviews, but this game, just . . .

Just play it.

Dispite all that went wrong with this game, the abandonment, performance, etc, I remember playing this for hours on Kongregate, and my nostalgia for it keep me from ever uninstalling it, in the hopes that somehow, someday, something happens to fix it.

Honestly, just play the game. Stop reading this.
