I come to XCOM 2 for the gameplay. For this alone it, for me, has a lot of replay-value. There is something great about the humble beginnings you and your soldiers start from and the walking demi-gods they turn into. For me, this creates many emergent narratives about the soldiers, which is a great addition for the emergence.

Story-wise, the game is not that interesting in my opinion. But the combination of extremely fun gameplay and great graphics, makes this game a great option for any person that likes turn-based strategy.

I personally don't think I can get many more hours out of this game, but if XCOM 3 is ever released, I'll pick it up on release day.

EDIT: also WoTC is absolutely great as well. Do buy

Touched my D&D crave before BG3 was released. Absolutely amazing game. Super fun and engaging gameplay, and a good story.

I reviewed the game back in 2015 when before the original afterbirth was released. Was a very big fan. The game offers a lot of replayability value, and I felt to stingy to actually pay for afterbirth+ and repentance. I decided to earlier this year, with around 200 hours of playtime at that point. Since then I've added around 100 hours to that, and I think the addition of these DLC's is a great experience.

I would recommend for any new player of the game to get used to the base game at first, but after getting familiarized with the gameplay-loop and the mechanics, I think these DLC's are a great addition to the base. They add a lot of mechanically interesting and fun items, and difficult bosses, which is just what you need when you get to the point that Mega Satan feels repetitive.

Great value. Huge fan, I'll probably never actually fully complete it

TL:DR
Repentance is an absolutely great addition to TBoI with fun, interesting items and very difficult bosses. I would however recommend for players to be familiarized with the base game (or possibly base game + afterbirth) before buying this

If you already own the base game and want more, this is worth buying at full price.

If you come expecting an XCOM 3, you will most likely be disappointed like I was. Don't get me wrong, XCOM: Chimera Squad is not a bad game, it is just very different from XCOM 2 and XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Unlike those games, there is now no base building or general classes. Instead, there are premade characters, with some customizability in terms of some skills. As an extension of this, the game is more story-focused, something that I do not look for in my XCOM game. Another difference is the new breach-mechanic, which happens before every encounter. With it, you don't get the experience of dropping in and carefully positioning your units, that you got in earlier titles. It, of course, comes with new challenges, that for some can be very engaging, but for me, it feels weird in terms of flow. It is a good game, with its strengths and weaknesses, and I will get a better look at it sometime, but I came in with the wrong expectations. If you already know that it is different, and still want it, go for it. You will most likely have a great time.

TL:DR. XCOM: Chimera squad is gameplay-wise different from the previous two titles, so if you buy it expecting something very similar, you will probably be disappointed.

This game is a competitive shooter, that somehow doesn't have a toxic community.
Even casual gamers can enjoy this title.
It tenses you up like a spring, filled with anxiety you will peak the corners to check for enemies.

8.5 / 10 from me

You don't need to play it for 2 hours to know how it is. Play it for 2 hours and refund it if you don't like it.

This a really cool game, but it's not something for everyone. I'll start out by saying that it's actually pretty fun repairing cars in this game, but if repairing cars is a game concept you dislike or don't think would be fun in any way, maybe this game isn't for you. I'm not a person who likes cars, but the idea seemed intriguing, and sure enough, I really liked the game.
Now I'm going to give you some personal likes and dislikes about the game. I can't say it enough that these are my likes and dislikes and they are not factual

Likes:
- The game generally is quite educational. You generally learn about car parts and maybe what they do.
- The game has a good learning curve. It generally doesn't throw a lot of tutorials at you, though I do think that it has one at the start
- You can buy different old and broken car at an auction so that you can repair it. You can either choose to keep or sell it. That generally adds something new after you've learned practically everything.

Dislikes:*
- The games feels quite repetitive after about 30-40 hours or so.
- I would have liked there to have been a bigger selection of cars. There's is actually a lot of different cars, but what I mean is that more variety, since a lot of the cars look the same on the inside.

*The dislikes mentioned could probably have been solved by me bying the gold edition instead of the regular edition, but I don't have it so screw me right?

All in all I would probably give it a 7/10

**Do keep in mind, that if this doesn't sound intriguing to you, you definatly shouldn't buy this game. If it does sound intriguing to you, you should probably go for the gold or platinum edition instead, since they give A LOT more content that the regular version**
