Play as any of the 23 voiced characters from the Sonic cast.
Features 24 Tracks + 15 Crossworld tracks as of launch with more on the way.
Unique gadget system that can be crafted to ones racing preferences.
5 vehicle classes that are fully customizable in both performance and visuals.
Large library of music that's also accessible via the jukebox in game.
Superb art direction, environments are detail rich and vibrant.
Game performs well on my 5 year old system (AMD 5900x / 6800XT)

Dislikes:
Framerate options are only available in increments of 30/60.
Fixed aspect ratio of 16:9.
Keyboard bindings don't include support for the numeric keypad or arrow keys.

Crossworlds is Sega's latest entry in the kart racing genre and it doesn't disappoint. Every aspect of the game offers some level of customization that enables the player to fine tune their racing experience to their liking; whether it be characters, building the perfect vehicle, or selecting what gadgets you need to get the most out of a race.

Crossworlds also offers unlimited replayability not only through Online play but also through Single player due in part with 24 tracks with each 2nd lap drawing from a pool of 15(+*) crossworlds to choose from. The single player portion of the game also has a variety of different game modes as well that contribute to the replayability factor and up to 10 levels of customizable difficulty through the Rival system.

I would say this was a good purchase and so far have had an absolute blast playing this game.

(*+ indicates that the players will get a bonus l if they complete all 7 of the grand prix tracks)

It definitely has it's own pace that's distinctive from Eternal's style of combat. The combat is more spread out and most of the maps are large which give the player different avenues on which objectives they wish to tackle first. My most liked maps so far have taken place in the cosmic realm, with the other taking place on an island situated in the Northen Sea, but my favorite was fighting demons in the belly of a great monolithic beast. So the middle of the game I think shines the best.

I would say the question this games poses is what would happen if you took medieval style combat but treated the guns rather than the sword as your main one handed weapon of choice. I think it does a decent enough job in answering it. Much of the weapons are close to medium range in distance, with a few outliers like your rocket launcher or your chain shot, but even those guns have traits that encourage the use of them at melee reach ranges.

The game is as fast as you want it to be, difficulty settings can be tweaked either to make enemies hit like paper or feel like paper when they meet the bullet. The game speed can also be adjusted from ranges to 50-150% and other optoins such as parry window and stun duration can also be tweaked to ones liking. There is also an auto-sprint toggle in the options menu as well.

Also tweaking of graphics settings I feel is must, certainly you can just use a preset config from the display menu and call it a day, but you'd get better performance and image quality if you went through every setting and judged for yourself how each one affects your rendering performance. Generally tweaking my graphics settings I found reflections and occlusion to affect performance the most out everything else, so I set those on low and didn't really notice a change in image quality. I"m also using FSR on performance mode with sharpening and find that I can maintain around 70-90 fps (Radeon 6800XT on a 1440p ultrawide) depending on a scenes graphical demands. Generally if i know I'm going to hit a cutscene I'll just put all my settings on max with FSR on native AA.

Speaking of cutscenes; the game is beautiful, the environments are gorgeous, and everything is stunningly detailed. After cleaning up a map, if I can, I'll sometimes wander around just taking in the surrounding world. Id did a great job with their engine and they did an excellent job in finding the balance between ray tracing and performance. Sure there will always be the detractors when it comes to new tech, but honestly graphics cards will keep improving given time; eventually ray tracing and performance will be a non-issue.

Sound design is top notch and I do enjoy the games soundtrack. I certainly believe that Finishing Move did their homework and were able to capture the feel of Doom. It's definitely worth a listen. Favorite tracks has to be Colossus Unleashed and Unholy Siege.

All and all I think it's a great game and definitely worth playing along with the price. Can't wait to see what they they do for future story content.

Simple adventure game, story wasn't boring and was easy to follow, and the art style is very clean and mellow. There was a pretty decent amount of mini games placed throughout the environments and the puzzles were enough to make sure that this game wasn't just a walking and listening simulator, so nothing really challenging but nothing boringly easy either.

The game is overall pretty decent for the price.

Good mechanics, good story, varied list of classes and subclasses to choose from, art direction and graphics are decent and music and sound flx are good as well. Difficulty is customizable but I wouldn't recommend going for anything higher than challenging and even then I would set "enemy stat adjustments" to normal. The reason is that options like "enemy stat adjustments" and "enemy difficulty" are just numerical attribute stat increases (Either +4 or +8 depending on Strengthened or Insane) and BaB (base attack bonus) and AC (armor class) increases which are also tied to "Enemy Difficulty" while also increasing the difficulty class of dice rolls and saves. This makes the early portion of the game an exercise of extreme patience as your chances of hitting an enemy or affecting them with a spell that requires a save an extremely rare occurrence. Late game though the effects of these bonuses wear off as enemies will have much larger attribute pools that a +4 or +8 will contribute little noticeable benefit.

Most other games I've played with harder difficulty modes would have enemies that at least had more spells or abilities in their arsenal or better intelligence, this game from the looks of it doesn't have that. I find it a bit sloppy to be honest that I'm facing the same enemies with the same abilities and spells no matter what difficulty I select. Again attribute increases do little than to serve as an aggravation when facing low level enemies and draws out the early game more than it's needed.

Still a nice game though, I just wish they were more creative with how they approached their difficulty settings.

What this DLC does is give exposure to what the devs consider quality single player scenarios by bundling them together while (like the description states) make some quality of life improvements to bring them up to the FE team's quality standards.

I don't visit the mod workshop often, browsing for a good single player scenario is a hassle at times because the scenario category is cluttered with fantasy RPG's, multiplayer scenarios, scenarios in different languages, or just bad scenarios in general. It gets tedious, and is why I tend to stay away. I'm fine paying for a DLC that saves me from pruning through all of that.

Had this DLC not come out, I likely would have remained blind to these scenario's existence.

Getting past the repetitive nature of terrain and prop generation it's a good game. You have to turn a blind eye to how procedural generation does it's thing and instead focus on the game play and mechanics. It's a base builder and exploration sim at heart. Like many RTS and turn based strategy games have taught me in the past is you start with nothing, collect your resources, and start building otherwise your just wandering around getting nothing done.

After a few sloppy game starts going in blind I ended up starting a new game generally satisfied with the planet I started on; abundance of trees, cold weather, pretty decent wildlife. I ended up spending hours just fooling around constructing up a more than 4-5 stories tall building, which was probably overkill but hey if your going to do something do it big I suppose lol. Other than that resource collection was simple, I had easy access to a wide variety on planet so I didn't have to do much flying around. I had also constructed a teleport device which gave me easy access to the starbase outside my planet, which also saved me from flying and allowed me to sell of any excess resources laying around. I might leave my solar system later on when I feel more comfortable, but for now I'm taking it slow.

Sooooo relaxing and stress relieving. Nothing mentally tasking, just roaming around completing quests and making friends. Lots of cool items to collect and cardboard monsters to break apart. The story is charming too.

I also love the art style and music. Definitely a pleasant game and worth your time.

10 years with the game, 17 with the series. I certainly haven't lost interest since I started playing all those years ago and have never felt left behind when I've taken breaks to do other things in my life. It's always been available. Even their first game Guild Wars 1 is still running and I sometimes still log onto that game just for nostalgic purposes.

I would say try the game out. See if it fits for you. It's plentiful in offering a variety things to do and the story, lore, and world of Tyria can be a mesmerizing fantasy experience. It's definitely a game I'll put more years into.

To new players:

1. Soak in your surroundings, explore the environment. Talk to NPC's with a heart above them. Heart quests aren't 1 dimensional, they offer different avenues for completion. They also don't reset in the core game. So if you want to stop mid way through a heart completion and do something else (maybe another heart NPC) you can do that.

Events are also sprinkled about throughout the map each with their own mini stories. Some events are even chained, so a completion or a failure of one event might spawn a new chain of events that are a result of the outcome of that. This was Anet's selling point when they first released the game. As they wanted the game world to feel alive and that player choice mattered. Events will also attract other players so you won't feel so alone in the game world should you choose to participate.

2. Don't feel like you have to play "catch-up" to players that have more years on their belt. Play at your own pace. The game will still be here 10 years from now. I mentioned earlier that their first game Guild Wars 1 is still being maintained. Guild Wars 2 isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

3. Have fun. The Guild Wars 2 community is helpful and chomps at the bit to help new players any chance that pops up. Yes some do look strange (especially the glowing multi-colored giants that look like they jumped into a pool of radioactive nuclear rainbow ooze) but they're extremely friendly (maybe too friendly). Don't hesitate to reach out for help if you get stuck on something.

Anyways that's all I have. I guess. I don't know. Good luck!

The story goes that you sail from Elythria, your homeland to bring word to your brother of your father's death and hopefully go back and tell your mother that Corvus is alive and well. The real reason though is that deep down you wish to help in the defense of the besieged fortress Avalon and be among the heroes in their fight against the Sha'ahoul.

Siege of Avalon was my first RPG growing up. Lots of dialog, quests, lore, and a great story line to go with it. The games logo "Play any good books lately?" was true. It was very much a book in video game form, and it had enough content to keep you engaged throughout your play through. Definitely worth playing.

I'd say DE is a huge improvement over the original. It carries a huge list of changes ranging from civilization card decks, to home city revolting, new politicians for age up, civilization rebalance, map tweaking, etc.* The game also comes with a fully unlocked card system which is different from the original's "Unlock as you play" allowing players to jump right into deck building without having to grind on basic decks.

As for graphics, everything is highly detailed; models have been redone from their originals, textures have a much higher resolution, particle FX is vibrant and more noticeable and map environments really feel like they're alive. Sound has also improved in terms of gunfire, explosions, and overall environmental ambiance. It also comes with a remastered soundtrack which will be pleasing to the ears as you play.

If there are any bugs in this game, I haven't noticed them yet. The positives so far have caught my attention more. All in all, I'll be playing this as my main RTS, it's fun and the time period it's set in is perfect for me. I just wish this game had the Koreans, like the first two games did.

*There is a huge list of changes on the developers website that goes into detail on every balance change they've made. It's very long and exhaustive but it should give you insight on how committed they were on really making this a definitive edition.
