Tried it during the free weekend for a couple of hours, bought it the next day. It's a really great looking game, and it feels and plays amazing on my PC, and the handling couldn't possibly be smoother with my G29 wheel.

Can't wait to dig into the career mode, and wreck Hamilton's a$$ at every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chance I get! Definitely worth the 16.5€ asking price imo.

Newer, slightly prettier, free...er, 64 bittier (they doubled the bits, dawgs!!1) version of Skyrim legendary edition, with the usual amount of glitches and bugs to satisfy your Bethesda expectations and needs.

I rage uninstalled it, therefore it must be a great reflex shooter.

So... modded the game with promods after buying both map DLCs, got a bunch of trailer mods as well, and I got a contract to take some crazy metal gear looking 66t construction machine tracks across France, Britain, Faroe Islands and half way across Iceland to some quarry, that for some reason was on top of a hill with the sh!ttiest, snowiest, slipperiest, zig-zagiest road leading up to it... not surprisingly, my 730 hp Scania took a sh!t and I had to give up the job just 2 km away from the destination, after over three and a freakin half real time hours spent driving the f@cker all the way up there... You know what I did? I picked up another contract and continued playing this amazing game. GET IT NOW!

I love this game - but I also hate it's guts.
The game is so freakin' beautiful - but it's sorta a giant pile of bullsh!t.
Great idea - kinda horrible execution.
You're not really meant to use weapons - enemies have shotguns and are sorta, kinda really great at using them.
so on and so forth...

Regardless of my steam time played (1.3hrs as of writing this), I beat this game on PC before, and I played it more than half way through again on a friend's 360 a few years ago, so I think I can write a decent short review for it right now.

So the pictures and videos don't lie, the graphics look insane for a 2009 game even 7 years later, if they were to replace the character models, and get rid of the ugly comic book/anime cutscenes, or at least animate them a whole lot better, they can easily call it a remaster/remake/redux/re...whatever, and sell it at full price (Origin, though! >_<).

The gameplay is pretty decent and freerunning can be really fun when you get into the zone... til you get to a level where the world wants you to die, that is, and every citizen of, whatever this made up city is called, is blasting at you with a shotgun while you're struggling to find that piece of fence that doesn't have barbed wire on top. I mean, in those situations "rabbit hunting simulator" would be a better fitting title for the game, with the player being the scared wabbit.

Story is there, it's alright I guess, voice acting and music are good, it's all AAA quality I'd say, no need to go into details, you're here to run, dammit!

Ending song made a lot of nerdy boys and grils cry, I didn't like it very much, but maybe check out the Benassi remix, I don't know...

Anywho, it's a game that can make you hate yourself, and the world, but it's worth a playthrough. I mean you own it already, and if you don't, wtf dude-bro?! it was like $2.5 on sales and in a $1 bundle, I mean c'mon... with the sequel coming out, now is the time to play this fantastic abomination.

Final score 7.5/10

Only played a few offline matches so far, but this seems like a pretty fun game. The MOBA user tag had me fooled (I don't like/play MOBAs), but this is actually a really nice arcade arena shooter, it strikes me as one of those games you can waste 5-10 minutes on, or play it religiously for hours and hours.

If the game is stuttering for you online but runs fine offline, disable crossplay - this will only pair you with steam players, and should fix the stutter.

I wasted almost 2 whole months of my life waiting, planning, thinking this game will get a discount (since the ps4 version was FREE!!! well, kinda)... those are 2 rocketless, leagueless months I'll never get back. QQ

So what is there to say about Rocket League that you can't see in a short gameplay video... almost nothing really, it's as fun as it looks (if it doesn't look fun to you, get the hell outta here!), it controls well (gamepad), and it's pretty as a t!tty.
Basically it's FIFA X Trackmania - you have a field, 2 goals, a giant ball and a few cars, but have you got the moves, son?!
It's one of those easy to get into, hard to master types you all know and love, and hate, and then love again.

Some horrible things that can possibly happen with this game:
-I hear a lot of people have connection issues, I have a constant ~50ms in EU and ~120ms in US (had some rubber banding lag on the US server), pretty much what I get in any game, so I can't complain. Having said that (I love that term), I often, and I really do mean often, had people with 200+ and even up to 900ms join the game, I don't know if they're playing from Australia/Asia/Africa or from 1996 or what, but it's definitely worth mentioning.
-A lot of people also complain that the Rocket League community is worse than the LoL community, those people are stupid, because you can turn off messages and voice chat, which is what I did before launching my first online game.
-Paid DLC adds achievements you can't unlock unless you buy the DLC, and I imagine there's going to be a lot of DLC for this game (nothing pay to win though).
-If you play a random match, the game likes to put you in a game in progress, and 95% of the time, your team will be losing.
-After you quit a random match where you get paired with 2 clowns, the game will constantly put you back in the same match if you look for another game right after quiting (waiting like 20-30 seconds might help).

Final thoughts - the game is super fun and very addictive, regardless of your skill level. I played it for over 11hrs the first day I got it, and even as a full price purchase this game is a steal. Though, when you get better, or even good at it, you might get pi$$ed off when your random teammates start pulling you back with their horrible decisions, this however, shouldn't be a problem if you're playing with friends. Also, the game is cross play, which means ps4 and PC gamers play together, so the online should be alive and well for a long, long time.

I'll start this review off by saying that this game is my favorite game ever (been gaming since the NES), and that says a lot about it since I'm not huge on anything with superheroes, or Batman for that matter - I don't like the movies, except the hilarious one with Adam West and exploding sharks, I don't watch Batman cartoons, I don't read the comic books, I don't even know Batman's true identity... (one of these is a blatant lie).

The Arkham games offer a mix of stealth and action gameplay, and they make both of them work perfectly (at least Asylum and City do). I never played a 3D action game with fighting controls this tight, or stealth this fun, it's just a blast to play the combat challenges and predator encounters in these games (again, talking about Asylum and City),
On top of that, the voice acting, music, controls, gameplay, story, everything is as good as it can get.

So why is this one my favorite? Well there's just something about open world games with a ton of side stuff scattered around that gets to me, and this game definitely has it.
From Riddler trophies/puzzles (440 of them if I remember correctly), to side quests that involve some of Gotham's and DC's famous criminals. These make Arkham City a pretty damn fun playground for our flying mammal.
You also get to play some parts of the game as Catwoman. I know some people don't enjoy controlling her, but I personally like it, especially in combat. She's faster than Batman and has totally different fighting animations (I wanna say she doesn't punch as hard as the bat, but don't quote me on that).

Not sure if I can say anything about the story without spoiling it, so I'll just say that it's pretty good, and Mark Hamill as the Joker, and Kevin Conroy as Batman did an amazing job bringing their characters to life.
Again, I'm not a huge Batman fan outside of these games, and I absolutely love the story in this game, I've beaten the game multiple times, and I never skipped a single cutscene.

This game is a clean 10/10 for me, it's just fantastic in every way possible.

Update on the re-release patch (28/10/2015). Still as broken as it ever was, windows 7 + 8gb ram = memory leak after less than 5 minutes in the batmobile, a bit longer on foot/gliding. Game can easily be completely unplayable on your system due to a memory leak and there is not a thing you can do about it, even the dev team gave up on fixing this issue. Just for reference, my PC runs AC Unity at a constant 30 fps with all settings set to high, so it's definitely strong enough to run this game, hell, it runs fine for 1 minute, it's just that this game's memory management doesn't function properly. I reinstalled it 5 times on my PC with various gpu drivers, and all kinds of pagefile scenarios I could think of, it just doesn't work properly on my machine (I guess after having great luck with running AC Unity and Watch_Dogs - this one runs at above 50fps most of the time on high settings, my luck with bad PC ports had run out) - to save yourself a headache, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME ON PC!!! Don't reward sloppy PC devs with your hard earned money, please.

The rest of my review was written on release date (the actual release date) and editing it even slightly would probably just p!ss me the eff off, so I'll leave it like this, unless the game actually becomes playable at some point.

If you're one of those people who thought Origins was a bad Arkham game, has Rocksteady got a surprise for you.

So yeah, let's make an UE3 game look like it's using Cryengine 3, but let's definitely not buy a Cryengine license, cause money yo!

If you have a card with 2gb of vram (if you have less, look the other way, the game will not run at all), be prepared to lower the settings to the bare minimum (that's right! all 3 settings, all of the 3 settings that are 3... THREE... 3... 3... 3, not 2, definitely not 4, but 3), lower the resolution below 1080p and expect huge fps dips and chugging and even complete pauses in gameplay (0 fps). This is always present in the driving sections, and often while gliding across the map or diving to take out an enemy.

Can't turn off blur, depth of field, dynamic lights or shadows, film grain, chromatic aberration, you can just make your game look super blurry by lowering the textures, and have all these wonderful frame dropping filters on, to make your eyes bleed a bit more.

Let's say a thing or two about the gameplay (after all I suffered through this game for 20+ hours so far) - It's a mix between the good old Arkham Asylum/City laser precise and very responsive combat, and some of the worst predator encounters I have experienced in an Arkham game, the enemy placement is a mess, there are too many enemies in every predator encounter I came across, and they decreased the number of ceiling grappling points drastically, so often you're in underground shafts or making those 2 ceiling grappling points work somehow.

The story "SO FAR" is not great, I'm not enjoying it regardless of the frame rate. The Riddler challenges with the batmobile are either a puzzle or a race against the clock, the races are just horrible and tedious, puzzles are decent but not great, all in all the Riddler side quests are not that good. The open city batmobile sections themselves are totally unneeded, and battling the tanks while you're in the car feels like a mediocre Playstation 2 Japanese giant robot game, it's just tedious and dumb.
I have to say though that the car does come in handy and is used in really interesting ways at times, but that's only in scripted main story moments.

Voice acting and music are of course top notch, not a single complaint there.

Catwoman looks hot!

Oh yeah, you can unlock the 30fps cap imposed by Hitle... I mean by the devs, by editing an .ini file, but what's the point really? :)

I'll update/rewrite the review and maybe even change the rating if I feel the game is actually worth buying when (more probably "IF") they fix this mess.

So, unless you have an nvidia gtx 900 series card or a titan, I suggest you stay away from this game for now.

edit: They actually increased the game's price by 5 euros. XD

edit 2: and now you can't even purchase it from steam, because it's so damn unfinished.
