A decent rhythm game.
Has a very big variety of songs. That could be a problem if your music tastes are singular.
The story moves things along, but it's not something spectacular.
Difficulty can ramp up quite a lot, but only if you choose to.
I recommend if you have time to kill and want to listen to varied music.

Generally an upgrade from the first Redout.
+ Better engine sounds.
+ Better dynamic music.
+ More ships.
+ More locations.
+ Boss tracks are connected seamlessly.
+ Gotta go fast.

* The soundtrack is not like the first one. It suits the game from amazing to meh (mostly veryu well) but it's never a detriment. The music tracks are not memorable pieces like the first one, but the licensed tracks do add a bit of flavour.

Your ships have 6 stats on how they behave while driving.
Each chasis has base stats and then there are 6/7 modules to enhace them further.
Different events in the campaign (Time Attack, Race, Arena Race, Speed ...).
Quite challenging in the beginning but get easier down the line.
Each location has 3 tracks. They all share the same start/finish line.
Boss tracks are a lap of each single track in sequence in contrast to the first Redout where the single tracks were connected with teleports.
Sense of speed - YES

If you like SCP, you'll like this game.
If you're into lore, you'll be left wanting more.
That said around half of the content is in the side missions, so be sure to check them out.
Shooting and abilities feel amazing.

One of the best racing games I've played. Every movement feels natural. Every mistake made feels mine. Beautiful landscapes. DLCs are worth their price and are vast expansion to the game.

Perfect for those who always daydreamt of a person running along to a song.
Has good music detection algorithm.
