Even in 2020...
...over a decade later, this is still the best CRPG that has ever hit the market. No other game of the genre is so diverse and makes each playthrough a whole new experience.

The freedom of interaction and exploration, combined with stories that truly feel as captivating as an actual fantasy pen & paper RPG, and the immense immersion you experience in this game... Combined with a great engine for its time and a very user-friendly UI and AI customization, full camera rotation and tactical zoom-out option, you won't find another CRPG that will deliver like DA:O did.

A must-have and the brightest gem on the CRPG market to date. <3

Old Review (2014)
Back in 2010, I had trouble when BioWare handed the support over to EA (How could you!? *curses*). I basically lost my original account and was provided with one that did not contain all the bonus items I had acquired, because EA is apparently incapable of transferring data correctly (I was in touch with the support for about three years, then I gave up). Thanks a lot, a 100 bucks wasted on the CE and the bonus packs back then. I was so angry I simply ignored DA:O.

Fast forward to New's Year's 2014/2015: Now here's a super nice discount on Steam! 5 bucks for the whole package, including all the bonus items (and those that are not included can easily be downloaded for free at BioWare Social). So I decided to start all over and give the game another shot, five years later. Thank you, Steam! I fell in love with this wonderful piece of work all over again. Great story, nice graphics, smooth gameplay and a gripping atmosphere. After all, the developers are not accountable for the EA fiasco. ;)
