Seeing this game regularly on sale yet somehow goes completely under the radar is baffling but also completely understandable. The story and single-player experience alone is worth the asking price on a good sale if you're into just messing around and enjoy fun set pieces.
GTA Online is such a messy experience that it's reputation has completely preceded whatever the single-player had to offer. I still enjoy it. I have since playing it on my XBox in 2013. But at this point, its pretty much a hard pass which is a shame since there is a lot of fun gameplay being gatekeeped by the grindyness and microtransaction model of the game.
Oh yeah, the single player modding scene is pretty cool too. Also roleplaying. That's a thing. All in all it's worth having in your library but it's also an understandable pass.

This is the best mid game I've ever played. On paper this game doesn't really offer much after reaching Pirate Legend, which you can pretty easily do in like 50 hours. In truth friends make the game even remotely fun. Getting up to jokes and hijinks while just sailing around is a blast but I mean, you have to have good friends who play the game. PvP is easily the most engaging but worst part about the game. It's janky and awkward at times but the naval combat is pretty riveting. With the safer seas split its honestly hard to gauge skill levels but as of now 90% of the people you fight are total pushovers. I don't even consider myself good at the game at it's braindead easy.
All in all, this game is fun but it's not good. Not bad, but not good.

I always enjoyed career mode and having my last FIFA being FIFA 17 I was impressed by all the new features and options. The gameplay is pretty good and balanced except goalkeepers seem to be braindead if you approach the 6 yard box. If youre coming straight from FIFA 19 or 20 its probably not worth it

I'm half-tempted to put a joke here but I owe this game too much. I wish this game could be in a better state, we all do. Sadly, it seems to slowly ebb away with time until it gets revived somehow and all the ♥♥♥ programmers have left the game.
But this game brought me my friends, the love of my life, and many, many hours of enjoyable gameplay. I hope this game comes back and I can play it with my friends like we used to.
