Basically a perfect game. It does so much with such simple controls, and if you dare, you can learn extra techniques that massively add to the depth of the game.

If you have any appreciation for turn based RPGs, JRPGs, or classics, any you haven't played this game, PLAY THIS GAME. Everything about is made extremely well, especially for the time of its release, and though the graphics have not aged well, the characters and gameplay are still on par with any great JRPG of this era.
